Stopped by on a Tuesday around lunch to have a beer and decided to get some food as well. We had the barnyard burger and damn was it good. So so messy but very good. Burger patty, pulled pork and bacon with cheese and some kinda sauce. I bet this place is really hoping on a Saturday night. The bartender was really friendly.

Gotta give this place 5 stars. Visiting Balti for a boys trip, we wanted a sports bar for a good Sunday fun day and very happy we chose this spot. The whole atmosphere was fun and everyone was geared up for football. The beer selection here is insane, SO many top-tier selections. Food was great as well, we ordered a ton but the two unanimous favorites were the wings (5 stars, must try) and the barnyard burger . Everything else was decent, although the pit beef sandwich was mediocre, only thing we weren’t crazy about/ disliked. The service here was great too; the staff walking around bussing the tables was 11/10 working full throttle.. full bar and not a single empty glass sat on our table for more than 2 minutes without being cleared off (please give this guy a raise — we were there 9/21 afternoon). I explored the entire Fell St area in my inebriated state in order to scope the scene for a possible bar swap mid day just to switch it up, but after poking around in every single establisbment in the area I didnt feel that anything out-matched Max’s. We stayed here all day and didn’t regret it.

A fantastic spot to catch a game while enjoying an incredible selection of beers on tap—over 100 varieties to choose from! The atmosphere is lively, the screens are everywhere, and there’s something on draft for every taste.

Max’s Taphouse, you did your big one with your buffalo wings! They a flavorful, crispy and have a smokey hint at the end. These are the most flavorful wings that I have had in a WHILE! Don’t change a thing & I will definitely be back for 2 orders the next time! If you haven’t had their wings, I feel like saying “you’re missing out” is an understatement.

I don’t know where or how to start.
I love this place. I’ve been loving Max’s since you could buy cigars on the other side. I’ve had 3 or 4 parties in the room upstairs. I’ve taken so many friends here from outta town to give them an exemplary, Baltimore experience! All respect due to Jamie the bartender, amazing guy and presence . I would hit Max’s until close then grab a Stuggys dog (Beast or a bacon wrapped crab Mac and cheese dog) and duck fat fries for the walk back to the car. So many memories here that are positive that I could type for hours. If I wrote a book about my life; Max’s would have a large chapter with pictures, pop up’s and scratch and sniffs! Max’s Taphouse, Mobtown’s finest!

We stumbled on Max’s while wondering around Fells Point (during the day) with our 3 year old. It was such a cool atmosphere! Loved the Halloween Decorations and the owner was so so nice! He went out of his way to make our experience awesome! Great beer selection and super friendly staff! Highly recommend!!

I’m a Philly guy but I find myself in Baltimore a dozen times a year or so for work or fun and discovered this place just the past few years. Great local, neighborhood bar. This is the type of place we love in Philly – good selection of drinks, stomach filling, good food at reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere and a clean establishment. Kudos to the owners for keeping that old school, classic bar vibe!

Been a fells point regular for over 5 years I’m low-key disappointed I didn’t try Max’s Taphouse earlier, the beer selection is insane more options than u even need. The food is amazing we had the pit beef, Nashville hot wings and Chili. The cornbread is goin for goat status easily some of the best I’ve ever had.

We stopped in at Max’s Taphouse while in Baltimore based on the recommendation of several other people and we were not disappointed! They had 100 beers on tap available plus a variety of cans and bottles. The selection was excellent. One note if you plan to visit. They had 5oz pours of everything available but they didn’t have any flight trays so you had to carry all the glassware yourself. If you happen to have a flight tasty from somewhere, bring it. Otherwise, the place is fantastic!
