5 stars bc of sweet miss pam! She was so pleasant and helpful she provided exceptional service. Delicious food. Got fried whiting which was fried soft for my taste but still very delicious not greasy at all and 3 large pieces yams were very good perfect amount of sweetness and the greens were absolutely to die for i just dont like stems in my greens but the flavor was amazing I highly recommend the greens! I got a half n half but was more like sweet tea to me im used to Baltimore half n halfs but still very good next time im in the area I will have to double back.

Visited this restuarant on OCT 25, 2025. Luckily, I was greeted by Chef Kendall who invited me in and and fixed me the most amazing food!! Not only that, I had the pleasure of talking and getting to know him as a person and pillar of the local community! Outside of the respect I’ve developed for his love of cooking & great food, I also respect him as an individual, leader, and major contributor to the economic growth in Southern MD, and more…this made the food even more amazing!! Fresh hand cut vegetables, chicken & fish seasoned to perfection, juicy, hot out of the fryer and onto your plate, this is what I enjoyed! This is the second or third time I have eaten at Selbys. Ms.Pam is always pleasant and nice. Today I meet the owner and he was pleasant and friendly as well. I ordered the 4 wings and candied yams and green beans and it did not disappoint. The wings were so fresh I couldn’t believe it. Food tastes like somebody grandma in the kitchen. The food is awesome and the people are even better. Superbowl party he’s having will be attending.

My husband and I were craving fried fish and were deciding between two different places before choosing this one. I will say right away that the staff was extremely kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The customer service was honestly the highlight of our visit.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to what we were hoping for. The sweet tea tasted like it wasn’t homemade, which was disappointing because that’s usually a staple at places like this. We also ordered both whiting and catfish, and neither one was very good. The fish just didn’t have the flavor or freshness we expected.
It was a bit of a letdown because the staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome. I truly wish the food had matched the great customer service.

Stopped by this spot with my husband and our two grown sons, and we all left full and happy. The vibe is super chill with an open layout, friendly energy, and it’s got that sports bar feel with TVs everywhere and sports stuff on the walls. Felt like a place you could hang out for hours.
The customer service was great. Everyone was welcoming, and the owner even came out to greet folks, which was a nice touch.
Now the food was so good. We tried the catfish with greens, wings and fries, salmon cheesesteak, and jerk wings with baked mac & cheese. The catfish was fried soft but still flavorful, not greasy at all. The mac and cheese tasted like somebody’s grandma made it, seasoned all the way through, not just sprinkled on top (the pic doesn’t show seasoning but its flavored well). It’s not the creamy kind, but it’s got that baked, soulful goodness.
The jerk wings had a sweet kick but not too spicy, just enough to keep you going back for more. And the salmon cheesesteak? They don’t skimp on the salmon, and it’s seasoned just right (son just had to take a bite befor my photo). Portions were solid, I cleaned my plate and didn’t need a to-go box. Prices were fair too, especially for how much food you get.
Definitely planning to come back. It’s one of those places that just feels good.

I had the pleasure of visiting this fantastic restaurant in September 2025, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, the young woman at the counter greeted me warmly and took the time to explain the menu options. I decided on the Whole Chicken Wing plate, accompanied by Candied Yams and Collard Greens, and let me tell you, it was an excellent choice!
The sweet tea served was just perfect—sweetened just right for my taste. As I settled into my seat and waited for my food, the owner, Chef Kendall, made a point to stop by and chat with me. I mentioned that I was from Houston, TX, and he shared stories of his cooking competition wins there, which made me even more excited to try his dishes.
When my food arrived, I was immediately impressed by the presentation. The chicken wings were seasoned to perfection—juicy and served hot right out of the fryer. The fresh vegetables complimented the meal beautifully, and each bite was a delight.
I also came to know that my little brother recommended this spot to me specifically for the Salmon Cheesesteak, claiming, “The flavor is indescribable; it’s the best thing I have ever tasted.” I can’t wait to return and try it myself!

It was my first time I had read reviews online and social media so I was excited. Customer service and the atmosphere was great. I ordered the salmon cheesteak which was recommended and I added greens, yams and mac n cheese. The greens and the yams were on point. The Mac n cheese was ok. The salmon cheesesteak was just ok lacked seasoning and it was watery like my bread was super wet. The chef owner was amazing and offered complimentary soup and it was delicious. I’ll try something else the next time to get more of a variety.

Awesome. The atmosphere, the customer service, food, ambience, hospitality and music were top tier. Chef and staff are welcoming and friendly. I tried the fried catfish and it was seasoned to perfection, Mac and string beans were good as well. I have been on the hunt for some good fried fish and I found it. Definitely will be back and it’s definitely worth a shot.

Passing through after visiting family we were looking for a quick spot. The name alone caught my attention. When we walked in was the pleasant surprise. Service from the moment we walked in was welcoming. We ordered the wing platter and the whiting platter. The food was freshly made and the meal was delicious. The greens were so tender they almost melt in your mouth. The establishment was immaculate as well. The host chef came to our table to introduce herself and show us the back room they rent for events. We are considering a family get together here for sure. We will most certainly be back when we are back in town! Thank you for your excellent service!
