Hops and Pie has long been a neighborhood favorite on Tennyson Street, and after visiting, it is easy to see why. Their NY and Detroit-style sourdough pizzas are excellent, the craft beer list is top-tier, and the overall vibe is relaxed and inviting.
I visited during their Weeknight Happy Hour, offered Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and it is an outstanding deal. Half-off draft cocktails, wine, wings, and Husky fries, plus $5 Westbound & Down pints and discounted pitchers, make it an ideal spot for an easy weeknight hangout.
The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly, and everything we tried was great. A fantastic addition to the Tennyson dining scene and well worth a visit.

One of my favorite places in Denver. They serve both NY and Detroit style pizza, delicious sandwiches, an ever changing beer list, and great patio space.
I am a huge fan of the Crunchwrap Superior and Crispy Pork Sandwich. The sandwich of the week is always a great hit and I always recommend a side of their pasta salad.
The wings are surprisingly great as well!

Found Hops & Pie on a business trip to Denver 8 years ago. I’ve since made it my “must visit” place ever since! The pizzas are incredible and the little “cheesy boats of heaven” (my name for them) are so delicious. The draft beer selection is top shelf and the prices so reasonable.
Leah is a great hostess and owner, and may even catch her being your server. Whole staff is great.
Do yourself a favor and get out to Tennyson St and enjoy this amazing local delight.

Draft beer took forever to come out and was somehow just colder than room temp, there was a beetle in my salad (covered in dressing so he was IN THERE), and the server didn’t check on me once. Pizza is okay at best

Unfortunately even the best food cannot out do bad service. I’ve been a server for almost 10 years now so I know what’s expected, bare minimum and just poor. The restaurant was a little busy but definitely not too busy to be impatient, unfriendly, or inattentive. With that being said, it could also be a management issue so I would suggest going over what service is expected with the servers. Customer service goes a long way and that’s the only thing this place is missing! If not, continue on with the QR menus, make the place self serve and take off the tip option.
Definitely would eat again, but do take out.

I picked up a large order of 12 pizzas, salads and wings for catering for an MBAA event last night! Leah was extremely helpful with me placing the order, getting the right amount of food and allowing some edits the week before. The staff was great during my pickup and made sure to triple check everything was correct on this large order! The meeting went great and everyone absolutely loved the pizzas and especially the chicken wings! It was also a very budget friendly option for catering for a large group. Thank you so much, we will absolutely order catering from you again!

Good Detroit style pizza and beer. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Carolina style wings as they had honey mustard sauce on them. Also be mindful of the 4% service charge automatically added on to your bill. The service was quick and efficient, and location was great right on Tennyson St. I’ll return to try the NY style pizza and some different wings.

food was great! their “deep dish Detroit Style” pizza is actually Detroit-style pan pizza (cast iron style), not the really saucy Chicago-style deep dish. I mentioned wanting to split a dish with someone else and they portioned the food onto two separate plates (including the side salad), which we really appreciated.
