I had an incredible experience at Yamasaki! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly made the meal feel special.

The food here was genuinely great and easily the highlight of our visit. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well prepared.
Service, however, was pretty average during the meal, and the experience ended on a very uncomfortable note. We left a tip within in the standard 13–20% range, which we felt was appropriate, but as we were leaving, the waitresses followed us outside and guilted us into giving her more.
Being chased out of the restaurant over a tip was awkward and unprofessional, and it really took away from what could have been a very positive experience. Great food, but the way the situation was handled at the end makes it hard to recommend without hesitation.

Beautiful sushi restaurant with a variety of menu items. The atmosphere is lovely (except for the purple accent lighting), the service is very professional and friendly and the food was great. If I could take away half a star I would because I just didn’t think the crispy tuna rice appetizer was as good as others I’ve tried in other cities. I didn’t care for the sweet wasabi which made the dish too sweet and the crispy rice was too mushy inside. It wasn’t like other crispy rice dishes it was more like a rice patty or something. I ordered a spicy tuna roll but I added avocado, cucumber and crunch. It was good except they put a blanket of crunch on top which I thought was overkill but still tasted great! You can see it in the photo. The one other thing I’d recommend changing is the music. As a restaurant owner, I know that you can’t just play whatever you want, you have to have a subscription but the genre they were playing was American songs sung by other artists. It was annoying and I think it would be more pleasant to hear tasteful Japanese instrumental. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

The first thing you notice is the elegant modern decor with a classic touch of wood and typical Asian modernist design. Staff is welcoming and helpful. We were seated right away during a weeknight and we’re surprised that by the time we left the restaurant was about 3/4 full. A good sign I would say.
Beverages are good and can be creative. Appetizers likewise. Most of our dishes were good and attractively prepared. Although we were among the first diners, the kitchen was not very speedy in preparing our meals although we didn’t mind given the pleasant environment and conversation. Generally, we all enjoyed our meals although the sushi/sashimi portions were modest. The cost overall was not modest with four adults and four children dining with a $350 bill(including wine and cocktails).

We wanted to try this place while visiting. I was disappointed that they run out of hot green tea!! An important drink in an Asian restaurant, green tea is a must!!
The ambience was nice but extremely loud! It was difficult to hear across the table, we were just two people.
The food was pretty good.
The top, top was our server!! Excellent service. The waiting for food was taking long, he came to offer us miso or salad while we wait. I don’t remember his name. He was tall, blond hair. Very nice!

A little more expensive than just a day to day sushi place but the food and flavors and service were all incredible. Justin took great care of us and we enjoyed our anniversary lunch trying both of the lunch box options. It was a good amount of food.
