Absolutely delicious! The chicken fried steak was the best I have ever had. The portions are generous, with a fair price. The food is made from scratch and well flavored in a way that makes their ingredients shine. The service was great. You can tell it is family run and it just adds that extra bit of charm.

Our breakfast tasted just like we would have made it at home. The pancakes here are better, fluffier and sweeter. The coffee is on point. But most importantly the hospitality was just as being at a friend’s home.
Ask for Paula or Denise. Super nice people. I recommend for breakfast.

Nice to find staff that were involved, engaged and interested in our experience!
My Everything Skillet was delicious! Had a great combination of flavors. I’m always worried that dishes with jalapenos will have too many and will overpower the other flavors. This was well balanced and spot on.
The wife’s Banana Foster pancakes were excellent. More on the savory side than sweet, which was a nice change. The cakes held up well to the last bite.
We look forward to coming back and are anticipating trying the dinner menu.

bf and i got the breakfast burritos and they were amazing, mother in law got biscuits and gravy and everything was amazing, friendly staff and wait time was pretty good for how busy they were. Definitely a new favorite!

90% of the appetizer menu was Unavailable. The soup was unavailable even though it is a option for a side dish. Overall the staff was friendly but lack of options and poor quality food will not bring me back…. 1st time and last time

Went to family roots for the first time today with a friend. We split the meal and it was awesome. Plenty of food for both of us. A little bit higher in price but well worth it. The service was excellent and the food refreshing change to the best. Thank you for serving the home-cooked meals that I’ve I miss so much you’re awesome.

We went here for Easter brunch and were very impressed. I gave the food 5 stars, although the bacon was a bit soggy (unless you like it that way). The service got 4 stars only because they were overwhelmed and needed more staff, but they were extremely friendly and attended to our needs after having to get someone’s attention and asking for things. I understand it’s difficult to hire help these days, but knowing this was a busy holiday event, it could’ve been better anticipated and dealt with accordingly. Overall, it was a pleasant (and filling) experience! I highly recommend eating here when you can! 5 stars overall!

The server was very nice, friendly and attentive, but he didn’t know much about the menu (what came on a lunch sandwich we got). We ordered a sandwich and ended up getting a different sandwich instead (misheard the order I guess).
The atmosphere is okay. Feels like a diner.
I personally was not a fan of the breading on the chicken fried steak. I prefer a traditional breading, as this looked and tasted more like a fish batter.
Overall, I will try again to see if it’s any better.

I’ve eaten at family roots before and loved it. I came in to just be told it was a different restaurant. Menu and everything looked the same but wasn’t. The waitress had a bit of an attitude and all the food wasn’t fresh and deep fried. The cook is straight up lazy. I paid $17 for a chicken fried steak that tasted horrible and took 45 minutes to cook in a deep fryer not impressed will not go again
