Olympus Burger is an award-winning burger joint with numerous awards, and has been ranked top 20 in the world! I’ve heard about this place for years, and I’m glad I finally got to try it on my trip to Port Hope.

I tried:
Zeus Burger $14.25
Fresh beef patty, peameal bacon, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, aged white cheddar cheese, Olympus bbq sauce, lettuce, tomato

Apollo Burger $13.25
Fresh beef patty, fried egg, peameal bacon, between two grilled aged white cheddar cheese sandwiches, lettuce, tomato

(+ $7.50 to make it a combo)

Olympus Poutine $9.95
Crispy bacon, caramelized onions, Ivanhoe cheese curds and Olympus beef gravy

Strawberry Milkshake $6.75

Zeus Burger was the best here, and there was some sweetness to it that I liked. If I were to go again, I’d just get this. Apollo was similar, but not as good. Poutine was okay only, and milkshake could have improved. Service here was spectacular; employees were very attentive and helpful despite this not being fine dining.

I’d recommend this place to anyone spending the day around the Port Hope area!

Not only was the food AMAZING, but the service was top-notch as well.

When we arrived, it was pretty quiet since it was 3pm on a cold, snowy day. The staff greeted us immediately, and were super nice.

I had the Hera burger and my husband had the Zeus. I’m super picky about onion rings and these might be my favourite I’ve ever had. They were super crispy and not over-breaded. In other words, they were perfect.

The fries were also delicious, so you’ll be happy no matter what side you choose.

Even once we had our food, despite the fact that this is seat-yourself, counter-order restaurant, the staff checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I’d give the service a 6/5 if I could.

The food came out hot and super quick, and looked AMAZING.

We can’t wait to come back!! This is a MUST try! The prices are great, especially for how much food you get. I’m stuffed.

Ranked within the most mouth watering burgers in the world by Microsoft. It was ranked 18th out of 32 for the “Most Mouthwatering Burgers in the World” by Microsoft Network (MSN) in late 2024, and has been named the best burger in Canada by Canadian Living magazine and one of the top ten by Food Network Canada in different years.

I must be an outlier, with all the good reviews (fake or real?) my review is not so good, average at best.

I’m old school, enjoy my burgers flattop grilled with a nice carmelized savory crust. 80/20 meat/fat ratio with a authentic beefy flavor.

The Zeus burger had none of the above. For the price, burger was small. Surprisingly the added peameal bacon did not add anything to the burger flavor profile.

I remember one honest review where the comment was ” it looks like a burger but doesn’t taste like a burger” that should have been a red flag to me.

To top it off, the sweet potato fries were burnt.

One saving grace of the staff were smiley, very nice and polite.

Goes to show, these “top ten, most delicious” lists should be taken with a grain of salt, let your palette be the final judge. My biased palette has spoken.

Upon heading back to the GTA, I made a pit stop at this burger spot. It definitely shows that there’s a cult following for the space with how little parking there was in the parking lot.

The inside was super clean and the customer service was excellent. Now on to the real meat and potatoes, the food!

The ice for the diet Pepsi was perfect, felt like I was drinking a slushie but absolutely refreshing in the best kind of way. The burger was very juicy and the fries were immaculate. I did wish that was a bit of salt on the fries, but you can adjust that since every table had salt and pepper. Additionally, I will say the bun is a bit small considering how much ingredients there is in the burger. It felt like it was insufficient even though it’s a very solid brioche.

It’s definitely a place I would want to stop by if I’m ever in this side of town. But one thing I will have to say is that the outside patio area could deal with a bit more barriers to ensure there’s some sort of windbreak. Being right along the shore does allow for high wind and can really be a bit of an upset. With the tweaks on the brioche and adding a bit of salt for the fries, it can definitely hold up to being in the top 20 best burger spots in the world!

Food are great. Service is nice. If the line is not long, definitely worth a try. However, could be slightly disappointed if you wait for a long line on your day of visit. So just avoid visiting during the most busy hours.
We tried the Zeus Burger and the Artemis Burger. Both taste good to us. Zeus Burger is with a unique sauce. Artemis is good for people who want to stay fresh and clean (like people who are on diet). I really like the green veggie for the Artemis Burger.
The fries portion is really big. Two of us were sharing one fries and we get to take away (could be because we are asian).

We came here from Toronto on a mini road trip, and it was so tasty. They have tons of burgers to choose from, many (or all) of which are super unique and not just a basic burger you can get anywhere else. All of them are also mythologically named as in Greek mythology, so it was fun to order, versus ordering just a “cheeseburger”. All the burgers were also kinda massive. I ended up ordering the Medusa off the “secret menu” online because it seemed like the lightest/smallest burger option. My bf got the Titan from the secret menu as well. We both really enjoyed the burgers, but honestly I think I liked the sweet potato fries the most. They were thinner than I’m used to, so they were actually crispier and the insides were fluffy and not mushy. Great service as well–everyone here was so friendly and quick to help.

I’ve been coming to this place for a whole lot of years. The portions are always huge and the food is so tasty. Today we got the Olympus Fries, Hades Burger, Spartan Salad with Chicken, and the Atermis Burger with Sweet Potato Fries.

Had the Poseidon burger. Very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Had a bite of the fries and the beef burger patty also. So fresh and juicy. The fries were perfectly golden. Crispy over top and soft on the inside. There was a bit of a wait for food, but man they delivered. It made it all worth it. Best part, I wasn’t even that hungry when I stepped in and I was still blown away. 100% need to come back and try to rest of the menu. Thank you!

I saw many reviews saying it was great, so I decided to try it. When I arrived, there was a long queue outside the shop, and I spent almost an hour waiting — it was crazy. When the food finally arrived, I’d say it was not bad. But honestly, after waiting an hour, I felt a bit disappointed. The burger was just average; the beef wasn’t juicy. Overall, though, it was still good.

It was very busy and the was an hour for take out on this cool and blustery day. The fries were fantastic and the burger was ok. We also had chocolate shakes that were delicious.
