A bit far from where I live but I had some business near Fort Belvoir, so I decided to stop by.
The owner is a friendly person.
He also gave me a tour of the kitchen where a huge pot of Goat curry was being made and the aroma was hard to miss.
If you’re craving authentic Bangladeshi food in Virginia, Tandoori Kabob and Grill is a must-visit. Everything we tried was packed with flavor, but the Fuska and Samosa stood out—they were incredibly delicious and tasted just like back home.
The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about the food and the experience.
Highly recommended—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!
The place is clean but I wish the female employee was more attentive with the order. She should not have assumed 4 person platter since my mom and son already ordered their own entrees ….
I visited this place a few times before I’m giving this place a review, and happy that they did take heed to some of my advice and feedback.
The Chaat Papri is now in point, with more Papri, and seasonings, not just canned garbanzo beans and undercooked potatoes. The samosas have now been cooked to perfection, and not raw like they were the last time. The Daal, the Channa Masala are tasty, and the Naan is very well prepared. I’m still not impressed with the Tandoori or Tikka, the flavor was lacking, and had way too much food coloring.
The restaurant was clean and had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
One tip I would recommend is to order ahead of time to avoid any potential wait times.
On our first visit, we tried the lamb chops and butter chicken which were both delicious. The lamb chops had a little too much salt for our taste but when paired with the rice, it balanced out nicely. The salad was absolutely on point and a definite 5/5. The bread was a bit too thick but it was still very tasty and deserving of a 5/5 rating. The butter chicken was authentic and incredibly flavorful. The chickpeas tasted great but could use less oil, so I would give them a 4.5/5 rating.
During our second visit, we ordered the lamb chops again and they were cooked to perfection – definitely a 5/5 rating. The bread had improved since our last visit, it was not as thick and just as delicious, deserving of another 5/5 rating.
Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and traditional dining experience. Their dishes are full of flavor and their staff is top-notch. Don’t forget to order ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience.
