Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I order from this Whataburger regularly, and earlier this week I noticed my Whataburger tasted off. I figured maybe it was just an off day or even something with me, so I ordered again. Unfortunately, the same issue happened. The chicken strip box meals were great fresh, hot, and the drinks tasted really crisp. The fries were excellent too.
But the Whataburger itself was a big problem. The patty had a foul smell, was dry, grayish, crumbling, and tasted old not fresh at all. I even had other people smell and taste it to make sure it wasn’t just me, and they agreed the quality just wasn’t there.
I also picked the option for some sides of sauce regular ketchup, and spicy ketchup in my mobile order, but none of the sauces were included. This happens very, very often. Even at the drive-thru window, they ask if I’d like any sauces, I always say yes, and then they still don’t put them in the bag. I’m not sure what the point of asking is if the sauces never make it in the order.
They did include straws this time, which I appreciate because a lot of places forget them, but there were no napkins in the bag either.
I did call the restaurant to let them know about the burger, and they were very polite and offered to compensate me with a free meal for the inconvenience, which I appreciate. I just hope the burger quality and consistency improve, because I usually really enjoy Whataburger.

I dont have one of these by my home…yet. Stopped in here a few times just because I am all about the green Chile burger. Staff is super friendly, fast as could be, open 24/7,, no room for complaints. Make sure to snag a spicy ketchup and Verde dipping sauce.

Came in for a second night in the row..just could not get enough of the Monterey melt. Amy M was awsome she greeted me as soon as I stepped into the building and and courteus while taking my order and delivering my food to my table. Rest of the crew was also awsome on helping reprinting my receipt to add points no my Whataburger app.

I ordered dine in when they were slow. A few others arrived and left within a 20+ minute time frame. I then was handed a bag that had sitting the entire time, my burger was ice cold. French fries were not tasty or salted. Asking them to remake it seemed like a task. Coffee was the only pleasant thing from entire experience.

On the road for work at 3am was able able to get a 3 hot fresh biscuits and gravy via drive thru eating in a restaurant was not an option. All in all was the well over expections. If anything else good bad ? I only had the biscuit and gravy

First time trying Whataburger honestly was not that impressed. Got a breakfast chorizo burrito horrible tasted like a hotdog with eggs. Also got the single Whataburger with cheese fries and a drink. The Whataburger was decent. I would say it’s like a whopper, but with a worse Bun and the fries were pretty good. They were like McDonald’s don’t think I would return unless I just needed some cheap food

I’ve been to a few locations in Texas. Stopped by for lunch. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with Fries. The burger is ok. My BF wanted to try this spot since he’s never had it. Service was also ok. Quick lunch and clean restaurant.

Whataburger is the only fast food burger chain that serves food as it looks in the ads. Hot off the grill.Fresh toppings and buns. I was greeted at my table with my order and an offer for various sauces. This location was extremely clean. Keep up the great work guys!
