First time trying it and it’s better than most of the ones in spfld. Very big portions if you get the large. Crab taste so good. Definitely recommended.

this was a really bad experience overall. we tried to place an online order for pickup. our online order did not go through on accident, which was no one’s fault, however we ended up waiting about 10 minutes for them to make our order. not a big deal at all and i assumed it should be fresh food because of this mix up. however the food was terrible. i got the regular kung pao chicken meal with fried rice. the kung pao had a VERY VERY small portion of chicken, shown in the picture. that’s an absurd amount of chicken for a chicken dish. the rest was all cabbage and onions. this was by no means kung pao chicken. there was no peanuts or any other vegetables at all. all onion and cabbage. the other photo is the fried rice which was cold and tasted soggy. this meal was about $9-10 so i paid all that money for cold cabbage and onions and just threw most of it away. i would not recommend this place at all.

The food was just not good. My wife got the hot and spicy chicken, I got the general chicken. They tasted identical which is to say they both tasted like cashew chicken. They weren’t exactly the same, the general chicken included some onion and the spicy chicken came with cabbage and peas. Even the sweet tea was bad. That’s a feat somewhat impressive seeing as how mcdonald’s is capable of figuring out how to mix sugar and black tea.

The furniture looked new and everything was served on trendy square plates so if you want the illusion of a nice meal but you don’t have functioning taste buds this may be the place for you. Although if your sense of smell still works I reccommend avoiding the bathrooms.

The sign out front reads voted best chinese restaurant in Springfield, I have to wonder what year this vote happened because the only thing that makes sense is that the vote happened in 2020 when everyone had covid and couldn’t taste or smell.

Edit: The response from the Manager was Polite, and they explained that their version is supposed to be sweet. I accept that response and I am changing my review to neutral, due to the Professionalism of Management. I probably will not try the food again though. Thank You.

Picked up Kung Pao Chicken and I do not like that it is SWEET for some reason. Why is it sweet? I took a few bites and it is not good at all. Im nauseated now because I do not like that flavor at all. This rice is also a bit soggy. I did not drive back across town to replace it. This was thrown in the trash and I decided to skip dinner, even though this meal was around $10. Eggroll and Crab Rangoon were fine.

Ordered DoorDash from Kings Asian Chef – got half the order and they can’t seem to have a phone in service. Really unsure how you can run a business with no working phone, but okay. Wouldn’t recommend ordering any delivery orders from them, when you can’t call to get a problem resolved.

Our food was so good!! Like I’m talking so far the best in Springfield. The man at the drive through window was so nice and I ordered sesame balls which I’ve never had and he recommended them and was so genuinely nice. He wasn’t falling for customer service like he was really a nice guy. And he wasn’t wrong sesame balls are delicious. It’s almost like a fried donut ball but better lol. I would recommend this place hands down, waiting 10 mins for fresh hot food is totally worth it and the prices aren’t bad compared to other places. 10/10

Visiting Springfield ( our hometown) for a funeral and our regular, go-to Cashew Chicken place was closed, so we found this place online and decided to try it.
Amazing food, all the way around. Was surprised that they didn’t put soy sauce, duck sauce or fortunate cookies in the bag, but the food was fantastic!
I don’t know that we will ever ditch our usual place out of a sense of loyalty and the fact that we have been eating there for over 40 years, but this will be a nice alternative in a pinch.

We kicked things off with the cream cheese rangoons—no seafood in sight, so a perfect win for my vegetarian girlfriend. Then came the vegetarian egg rolls (though let’s be real, more like gloriously crispy spring rolls) and the wonton soup. And y’all… the broth in that soup? I swear it could cure the flu, a broken heart, and maybe even Monday mornings.
This was our second visit this week for the exact same lineup, and I’m not mad about it—we might just make it three. Everything was crispy, flavorful, and downright addictive. The staff? Super friendly. The place? Immaculately clean.
If you’re craving a small-but-mighty appetizer feast that leaves you full, happy, and slightly obsessed, King’s Asian Chef is the move. Seriously, I might start calling their wonton soup “liquid gold.”

Next time we will try the fried eggplant

There wasn’t anyone else there when we stopped to eat, in which we don’t mind at all. It’s quiet. We got welcomed as soon as we walked in the door, they was quick to take out order, and didn’t have a long wait to receive our hot meal. I got the kids cashew chicken all white meet, and a side of noodles. My husband got the general tso meal, he says the vegetables was fresh, and crispy, everything was amazing. Thank you for a good real quick last minute stop, we never thought to stop here, we couldn’t decide between sonic and Taco Bell and ended up here.

I have heard so many good things about this place and finally tried it. What a disappointment. The dining room was dingy and has a poorly lit, almost grimy look with tables and chairs that look like they came from a yard sale. The only menu is a laminated printer-paper card lying on the counter showing you the few dishes they make. There’s no menu given to you at the table nor any menu board on the wall at the counter. There was no soup tureen for free egg drop soup (I’d been told there was, but I guess one can blame that one on the post-2020 economic ruin that has never recovered) and the service was pretty bad. There was only one employee in the entire restaurant besides the owner/manager and she seemed to new there and still in training and barely knew what she was doing. It was a long wait to get my food and even longer to get my drink. I was well into eating my cashew chicken before she brought it over I n a to-go cup for some reason and forgot the sweetener. (This girl was NOT rude; just slow, and I was the only customer.) The cashew chicken I ordered wasn’t badbut was WAY overpriced and was almost all rice without much more content. And word of warning: you pay up front before they even start cooking your order and ask you to sign for the tip before you even sit down, so if the service sucks you’ve already tipped them for it. I must advise everyone to give this dark and dingy overpriced place a hard pass. It felt more like a slap dash street vendor selling food in the owner’s garage. I have no idea how this sketchy place got voted “Springfield’s best Asian restaurant” a few years ago but apparently I should’ve tried it back then. Now, I’m embarrassed to tell anyone I ate there.
