Absolutely outstanding! Very tasty food and great customer service with a personal touch.
It’s not possible to reserve a table so arrive early and expect 15-60 min wait depending on your group size (we were 9 and waited less than an hour). In the queue we were offered wine or an alcohol free alternative (suitable for children) while we waited.
The food was just outstanding. The staff were also very knowledgeable about allergens and they have a separate menu with these listed (only in German, but Google Translate will help you).
Will return every possible chance.

If you are craving for steak, you are at the right place! Blockhouse has been there (Lübeck) for decades and it’s quality hasn’t been changed. Though it may be pricy for its portion but I think its taste is worth it especially the steak with their secret pepper steak. Service is excellent as always even in busy days, they make sure you have what you need. The surroundings is perfect a date also with an overlooking view of Holstentor.

My friend & I were in this restaurant to have dinner. It was not very busy, so we did not wait for a long time for our dinner. The service was great. I liked the dishes so much! Everything was so delicious!!! I can only recommend to go to this place when you will visit Lübeck & I will come there for sure

Decent food, but didn’t live up to the reviews. The onion soup was great, but everything else was lacking. The steak was way undercooked, the burger came without a top bun, and the sides were decent, but not what we were expecting for the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, though they did seem to be spread thin as the place was really busy. Not sure why, but we were the only people there under the age of 65.

It has a really good ambience. We enjoyed it a lot. Food was great and stuff was too helpful and polite. I definitely recommend it and i will go again if i go lubeck next time.

I have been to many Block House restaurants and usually had good service and good food. This visit was a bit different from what I am used to. We were 8 visiting togeather and a lovely waitress took our order but another waitress brought the food and messed everything up and had litlw to no i terest in assisting or figuring out who ordered what. Om top of that at least 4 orders were not cooked as requested but one was way off and was sent back. The first waitress came back to try to fix the mess but returned with not what was asked for. By that time we had more or less given up and just ate what we got. To top it all when the waitress was removing dishes and cutlery she dropped it on the back of one of our guest. So, out of all visits to Block House restaurants, this was the worst one and so far the only bad one.

We were there a year ago. Everything was fine. Now we went back, to have an opposite experience. The staff were extremely slow. It took like forever before they came and asked for our requests. When we finally got our food, the two steaks tasted great, but the other two were close to impossible to chew. It felt like a joke, when they asked for tips when we got the bill. The waiter did his best to make us feel uncomfortable when we said sorry, there will be no tips today, since the service and food were not quite what we hoped for.
