I booked a stay here as a surprise for my long distance boyfriend for his birthday in November. I did a lot of research, I wanted a place with a restaurant, bar, coffee, pool, hottub, and a beautiful view with access to everything nearby! He’s from Layton and I couldn’t find any hotels that offered all of that, but Little America did and so much more!

But I already left that review, so let’s talk about the coffee shop itself.

You can order it to your room, a long with any of the food, which they serve breakfast lunch and dinner, they have amazing pastries and coffee of all kinds!

The portions are huge, yes it’s pricey, but you’re getting a bang for your buck, it’s also quality too. Everything was so good!

We first stopped by and just ordered coffee and explored the hotel.

Then the next morning we ordered hot chocolate with espresso and a croissant and cinnamon roll to the room. And these pastries are not tiny at all!

Then the last night we actually dined in for dinner. We ordered the little America club sandwich I believe, comes with delicious savory fries, wings but we wanted every sauce so they put it on the side for us, so in the picture they look dry but I promise they are not! Ordered a cucumber lime tequila cocktail and an espresso which was ginormous! And for his birthday they gave him a free cake but we were soooo full that we had to take it back to the room, we ate that for breakfast, it was so yummy!

On top of that, they play very beautiful music, the decor and seating are very comfortable and the atmosphere was a wonderful relaxing vibe.

The only minor complaint I have is our server was very hard to understand and it seemed she didn’t understand us well. She was Asian, and my kids are Asian but it was still very difficult and it’s like she couldn’t hear us. And when we asked for the cake to go she seemed kind of annoyed by it, even though we were guests of the hotel…

But I mean it’s just a language barrier maybe, so that doesn’t really change my opinion on the coffee shop/diner itself.

Everything was super yummy and had our tastebuds watering!

Thank you so much, Little America!

Had the pleasure of eating here twice during my stay in the hotel for work. The service from all I met was exceptional. Warm and friendly. Arriving into town a bit late I had the turkey special, I think I only ate 1/2 as the portion was overly generous, and not only included a starter, but also their in house signature ice cream. I also enjoyed breakfast during my stay with a friend. They even offered us to go cos for our coffee. I wish all hotel offerings were as fantastic as this place. Excellent value and service indeed.

Have had the pleasure to stay at this hotel on many occasions and varying times during the years. One of my favorite things about staying at Little America is the coffee shop where everything from their morning omlette’s to their late night hamburgers and dessert is enough to make your tastebuds dance. It’s even become tradition once a year to stop in Salt Lake when there’s a chance to look at the lights and then go to Little America Coffee Shop and get dessert. This year the creme brulee was hottest on the menu, but following close up was the always classic chocolate ganache cake that though bigger then your head, makes you wonder if you’ll ever have chocolate cake that adds up again. The other hot item on the list is the always popular milkshakes that since Salt Lake wasn’t so chilly this year made for an amazing dessert item.
The front hostess staff has been exceptional each time I’ve been to the hotel shop, working with large parties, helping us validate parking, and making sure our stay is beyond exceptional…. Even the comfy chairs outside the coffee shop are cozy enough to sit and wait for our party to be called.
And if that doesn’t seal the deal, here’s an amazing picture of the creme brulee…

If I could give 10 stars I would! Best part of my experience was Rashid!!!! He was my server and my god! What a pleasure it was to meet him and see his kindness and passion for hospitality. You can tell when someone truly likes their job because it shows and it makes us customer leave with an amazing feeling! The food was great too and the coffee. Service was superb! If you get the chance, make sure you ask for him!

Rashid, have a blast on your upcoming trip to Amsterdam! Hope I get to see you in one of my flights!

Hands down the best Eggs Benedict I’ve had. Staying at the Grand American across the street, popped over here for breakfast and it was totally worth it. The service was kind, quick, and efficient, and the food was excellent. I will be back (and dreaming of this dish) thank you!

Lots of options for their breakfast. Meal prices are slightly elevated, but they are relatively fair prices compared to other hotel restaurants, especially of this caliber. Their Cowboy omelette was great, with a good balance of cheese and came with toast and potatoes. The portions were large and the food came quickly for a table of 1. I would recommend coming here for a bite to eat.

We came in late last night and this was the only place still open — and I’m so glad it was. Kim was our server and she was absolutely wonderful.

She was kind, attentive, and incredibly professional, even while managing multiple tables on her own. She kept everything running smoothly, always with a smile, refilling waters, checking in at just the right moments, and making us feel genuinely welcome.

She told us she’s been working in the restaurant and hotel industry for about 25 years, and it really shows — not just in her efficiency, but in the care and pride she puts into her work. It’s inspiring to see someone with that much experience still showing up with such warmth and dedication.

Kim truly made our night better, and she represents the very best of hospitality. I hope her restaurant knows what a gem they have in her.

I was visiting Utah for a convention and was staying in the hotel at the time.

The price was a little high but I will also note i had to get a togo box because it was a lot of food. I ordered a latte with their signature breakfast entree. It was good, the breakfast potatoes were crisp and seasoned. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. So much so that I ate there again for lunch when I had the chance instead of trying a new spot. Their salad was well made, fresh, and filling. Really enjoyed the overall experience.

We ate there because we could get a reservation on Christmas Eve. It has a normal atmosphere for a coffee shop but they did have a few holiday decorations. But what made it special was the attentive service and good food. Their homemade rolls were very light and I felt like I could be happy with just a meal of rolls. There was a special holiday menu. The flatiron steaks were very tasty and the mashed potatoes as well. I asked for gravy on the side and I am glad I did. I only like brown gravy when it is made from meat drippings. I didn’t care for theirs (although others of my family loved it) so I asked for their turkey gravy and I loved it. The meals were accompanied by lovely asparagus. My son and husband ordered rib eye medium rare. The steaks were big but thin, so were hardly pink. We complained and they got great new ones right away. The meal finished with ice cream or sherbet. Both were delicious and not skimpy servings.

BLT pathetic. All lettuce and very little bacon. Tried to sit me in the middle of a bunch of tables that were close together, most occupied and loud. When I asked to sit in another area, I got an attitude. Even though the restaurant was only about 60% full.
