I’ve lived in Ks for five years now and this place has the best pizza I’ve found so far! We both ordered the lunch special which is a 9” pizza of your choice and a salad or garlic toast. We both ordered “The Fixins” (basically a combination) and salads. The salads were pretty good size and really good. We also ordered the Wonton Dip for an appetizer. We received the salads first then the dip and the dip was awesome! A HUGE portion too! Not too long after we received our pizzas and they were absolutely delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere was old school pizza shop! Highly recommended!

We drove here to attempt the “Big Joe” pizza eating challenge! No more than 2 people, a 30″+ pizza you must eat in 1 hour! The pizza is actually really really good as well. Some of the best we’ve had in the city so we’ll probably come back without a pizza challenge. Staff were amazing as well! They need to publicize this pizza challenge more! We definitely couldn’t do it, but I’m sure someone can. Thanks for the fun day!

It’s all about the crust. If you grew up in KC, you most likely know the story. My husband and I will only go to one of the Old Shawnee Pizza Shoppe. We have tried a few Pizza Shoppes and they have changed the crust and just isn’t the same. This location is exactly how it has always been. We were there for a birthday party and they did a GREAT job with our group. Highly recommend.

We have gotten, and loved, Old Shawnee Pizza for years now. Great taste, great service, good prices & a reliable menu – meaning the pizza we are used having is the pizza we get.

Tonight, however, that was not the case.
For two small, one medium, one large pizzas & a bottle of ranch – it was $145!! To say their prices have gone up is an understatement- ~ 40% increase in prices is outrageous!
Yes, we understand that the price of food has increased exponentially in the last year or two – but we ALL pay higher prices of food; as a small business OSP should know that a massive spike in cost, quality and deviating from set menu pizzas – is just bad business.
To get a clear cup of ranch, and a white chicken pizza (not BBQ) on top of the $145 was disappointing.
I hate that I’m writing this but in case you are looking to try out for the first time or just cruising the reviews before ordering again – buyer beware.
Shawnees’ “oldest restaurant” better get better, or out with the Old Shawnee Pizza & 40% price increases!
And in with a business with better business practices that our community has come to expect.

We all loved the pizza. We ordered the largest size and it work out perfectly for 2 adults and 4 kids. We did a small salad, kids spaghetti and 12 knots.

The taste is genuinely good. However, look at my photos, and be VERY careful that you pay attention to the size. The prices are absolutely terrible for the size you get. Their medium pizza is $25 with a width almost literally the size of a plastic fork. A slice is the size of your middle finger. You know those expensive personal pizzas they serve at stadiums? This is worse. It’s ridiculous price gouging, or they’re taking advantage of the buzzed folks in the area that have to have food. Avoid the pizza here.

Good pizza in a typical pizza place atmosphere. I went on a Wednesday late in the afternoon, so I encountered not only the large crowd there for the two-for-one deal on medium pizzas but also the guy doing close-up magic. So if those elements aren’t part of your ideal dining experience, maybe choose a different day or get take out.
The pizza, on the other hand, is worth the price. Great flavor and good portion sizes. The service was friendly and efficient.

Holy cow. The pizza is good, but I didn’t realize how tiny the pizzas were. A small is a personal size, and a medium is barely a small compared to other pizza places. Lots of toppings, which helps, but it was $50 (not counting delivery fee and tip) for two pizzas that barely can feed 4 adults! WAY WAY WAY overpriced for the size they are.

My school staff ordered lunches today. We had over 20 separate orders to be picked up at 2 different lunch times. Staff was kind and prepared. Everything was amazing! They even helped us out to the car with all the orders. They made our week!
