Applebee’s is a casual-dining chain, and the Bethlehem location on Motel Drive follows typical chain hours. It’s open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 AM to midnight.
It had been years since I last set foot in an Applebee’s, but a recent commercial featuring some new menu items convinced me to stop in again. The Motel Drive location was never the best, but I hoped time had worked in its favor. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have been more mistaken.
My friend and I started with two classic appetizers: mozzarella sticks and boneless wings. Both arrived lukewarm, the mozzarella sticks had zero cheese pull, and the wings were dry and tasted like they’d either been reheated or left sitting out for far too long.
For entrees, we shared the grilled cheese cheeseburger, chicken parmesan fettuccine, and the Riblets Plate. The burger was the only item that was enjoyable, hot, fresh, and made to order. The fettuccine was dry, the chicken limp, and the riblets were tough and chewy; I couldn’t even eat them.
Whether I go back to Applebee’s at all is uncertain, but there’s no chance I’ll come back to this location.

This is an awesome place to go for lunch or dinner. The bartender Christopher is classy and courteous. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. And they can make any drink you want. The food is excellent and the service matches their elite level of food quality. You should try it once, but be forewarned. Once you come and experience the excellent service and the delicious food, you will probably be coming here on a regular. Trust me, go here and experience it.

Strolled in here FOUR minutes before closing time after a hectic day of traveling. The manager Michelle was so understanding and allowed my family and I to sit in and enjoy our meal. We weren’t rushed and the food was delicious and served to our liking. Our server Laura was the best, she checked on us regularly and refilled our drinks as soon as it got low. What a great end to a crazy day….THANK YOU APPLEBEE’S ♥️

We got a giftcard for Christmas for Applebees, we hadn’t gone in ages! We visited the location we used to go 20 years ago when we were in college and it was great; food and service was fantastic! Glad it’s still going strong! We both got steaks, they were cooked perfectly! We’re excited to go back again

Service and atmosphere was average for an Applebee’s but I WILL NEVER eat at this location again. I ordered their Cajun Chicken w Penne Alfredo last night and although it wasn’t horrible going down, it has been coming back out of me all day today. Don’t eat here unless you want food poisoning.

I just want to give a BIG shoutout to a superstar worker that you guys have named Chrissy. I was at the bar tonight when a customer came in just before closing time and became audibly indignant and rude with a few members of the staff. He sat down at the bar and order a drink with Chrissy about a minute before closing time, and then begin complaining and insulting the staff. He called a few people horrible names, began saying distressing things about his own mental health, and vaguely threatened the staff by saying that he has a violent past.
Chrissy did her best to manage the customer while also keeping the other customers comfortable. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I was in her position, but I’m thankful that she was there to take care of all of us tonight with someone so unhinged coming into the restaurant. It must take a lot of patience and a special set of skills to get through a night like tonight. She did a great job in a stressful situation.
I will add – we stayed for a few hours and had dinner and drinks, and she was lovely with us and everybody else. We will definitely be back, despite one crazy person at the end of the night 🙂

I just went there and ordered food to go tonight and I love Applebees I get food there all the time but some reason I had a few problems with my food tonight. My kids and I both said the food tasted off and when I opened the ranch dressing it looked liked a big chunk of mold in it. Obviously ranch isn’t clumpy at all and the rest of it wasn’t clumpy. It was just one big green, looking clump in the middle of the ranch that turned me off so bad. I didn’t see it at first and already ate one chicken with the ranch then when I picked it up with a it was like a nickel size n it was green I mean, I guess it could be something else. I just don’t know what it could be but either way I just threw it away cause I didn’t wanna take any more chances. Anyways my stomach is sick as a doggy right now. I don’t know for sure if it was the food because I don’t want to completely blame it on them, but I do not feel well right now and I’m very sad because now I’m scared to ever eat from there from again because I like their food But everything did not taste right tonight. I don’t know if it was like the cook or what was going on there. I also paid almost $90 for our food n we threw most of it away because everyone said it tasted weird and everyone’s stomach hurts now. I don’t know what happened or what’s wrong but I don’t trust it now

I could not believe the 2 for$26 only included burgers or chicken fingers. Then they cooked the fingers in used oil. Look at the pics. The server said there was a cup of broccoli. WRONG! LESS THAN 6oz and that included the container. I know inflation is causing problems but they are ripping us off. No wonder their stock has lost over half their value in a year. I feel like I’m buying girl scout cookies. You pay a fortune in the troop only gets a quarter. Look at the size of the Brownie bite. That would fit in a 3 year old’s mouth. That’s three dollars.

The service at this location is always spot on. They have very friendly and attentive servers here, which is what keeps me coming back when I want a quick meal. The cleanliness of the restaurant can be improved but the food was good for a chain restaurant. Prices seem a tad bit high for what it is. Parking can be difficult when it’s busy. Overall, I would come again for the service alone and maybe try a different burger.
