Earlier this morning was the worst experience my family and I have ever had in this establishment. We’ve been coming to Denny’s for years (i actually met my wife here on a blind date) irrelevant. During our visit this morning instead of the normal loud laughter, singing, and joking from the employees; I witnessed a male cook arguing loudly with a waitress from the kitchen about how biscuits are made which seems to be very unprofessional. Upon noticing this i definitely listened to the conversation as I had ordered biscuits and gravy. None of the servers out front seemed to agree with the cook, they were reading off what sounded to be directions from the recipe on how to properly cook biscuits. I feel more training may be needed in this restaurant for respect of each other and proper cook training. Unfortunately that’s not all it gets worse. I noticed it had been over half an hour on our food and we still hadn’t been served. The waitress’s were coming around keeping our coffee full (amazing coffee) along with apologizing for the wait time claimed that they were under new management along with being short-staffed so the gears just weren’t quite turning together as usual. Waitress’s were having to continuously go to the cooks to ask about food for tables where they were told it’s working. We did however get our food after about 40 or so minutes. The answer to the biscuit theory my biscuits were not good at all. Management the restaurant looks the best I have seen in a long time, however you might need to work on your employees. The cook needs retrained as well as your wait staff it was very inappropriate behavior between those two.

Let me just say I have been going to Denny’s in Cullman for Christmas breakfast since we moved here in 2014. Today’s service was the absolute best I have ever received. Big shout out to the young man in the holiday suit serving up the smiles all morning long. Bryson was an absolute treat and took such good care of our family.

Food took forever then once it was brought out there was hair all in the food. They sat us at an already dirty table that wasn’t cleaned with opened coffee sweetener and food all in the seats. Our server only check on us once the whole time and let us sit there for over 20 something minutes waiting for our server to even acknowledge us. Once we told our server about the nastiness of the food and table she looked at us with a very rude look and didn’t say a word. The syrup has white nasty stuff all over it. I would never recommend coming here to anyone and this will be my last time coming here.

I placed an order this morning through DoorDash. First, the restaurant said they didn’t have paper in the receipt printer, so they didn’t start preparing my order until the dasher arrived and asked for it. When I received my order, it was incomplete: one dish is missing, and the bread from another dish was missing as well. On top of that, I ordered the eggs sunny side up, and they arrived literally raw and not edible. I tried calling the restaurant to resolve the issue, but their phone number is not working.
Because of all these issues, I am requesting a full refund.

Of course they were busy, but we got there, we were expecting a wait. We were there about 30 minutes and started seeing empty tables and the ladies up front was not seating anyone. Finally, they seated to groups in the dinning room behind us but still not seating in the room we could see with the five empty booths. So after 45 someone asked how long the wait was, she was told probably 30 minutes and 50 minutes for couples of 2. We decided to leave, and when we did in the room we could see there were still 5 booths empty. The two girls working the front was horrible. We won’t go back. Sorry but that’s the way it was.

I will never not love this place. Don’t get to go all that often anymore because of money (and lack thereof) but I’ve never had a meal here that I didn’t love. When I heard a bunch of them were shutting down I nearly cried over it. Ours is still here, for now.

Service was wonderful. We were seated quickly and the waitress came and took our order right away. She brought us our coffee and before I could finish putting in my cream and sweetener our food came. We had the all American slams . It was all cooked as ordered and the portions were large. We will be back. I forgot our servers name but she was young had a ponytail,and light hair. She was great in attitude and service.

Worst restaurant in Cullman!! I have enjoyed eating at Denny’s since I was a kid, but this location needs to be shut down!!!
After a very bad experience earlier this year, where my husband and I took our family to eat at this Denny’s, they got our orders wrong, some of the food tasted nasty, and the service was rude… months later, we decided to give the establishment a 2nd chance.. bad idea!!
My husband and I went to breakfast around 9AM, the restaurant was not busy, maybe 2 or 3 other tables when we arrived. There was only one waitress working. The place was dirty.. globs of dust and dirt and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, spider webs in the windows, the casing around the window was separating from the wall so there were large cracks in the wall, and there was just a putrid, dirty smell around our table. A second waitress came in, the same one we had at our first visit months earlier. She never smiled and only came by our table once to take our order. Some time later the manager lady brought our food to the table, not asking if we have everything we need or anything, just delivered the plates and left. My husband starting eating his ham and promptly spit it out, saying it tasted bad. It was covered in grease. The eggs were swimming in butter and oil, literally pools of it on the eggs. We called our waitress over who explained that was normal grease from the grill. My husband did not want to eat the food so she took his plate away. My omelet had streaks of black gristle from the grill, and they forgot to add the avocado that I was paying extra for. So after having my food for about 10 minutes, the waitress finally brought 3 small slices of avocado on a plate, shoved it onto the table next to a stack of napkins that flopped over on top of the plate of avocado, and she walks off. So I paid $1.29 extra for not even a half of an avocado that was rudely shoved on the table and was contaminated before I could even it. After watching my husband unable to eat his food, and not wanting to order anything else at that point, I choked down less than half my omelette, as it was also swimming in grease and oil. The coffee was extremely bitter and I wouldn’t trust drinking the water here. Our waitress came by once to refill our cups but other than that she kept walking past our table, chatting with the other customers, but avoiding us because we were unhappy with the food and the service. No apology from her or the manager either.
Finally we just wanted to get out of there, so I went to the front with the check and waited in the dirty lobby several minutes before the waitress came to the register. She did not ask how our meal was or say have a nice day or come back or anything, instead of handing me my change she set it on the counter and did not provide a receipt. I asked her for a receipt, she rolls her eyes, huffs, slaps the receipt on the counter in front of me and doesn’t say anything. SO RUDE!!! Worst waste of $25 ever, and I ended up throwing the rest of my food out after spending the rest of the day in the bathroom… I will never go back to this Denny’s!
