The mac n cheese and collards were pretty good and flavorful. The trout was fried well, but could have been seasoned better. This is not a sit down restaurant and no drive thru.

This place makes great food and has a nice variety. Can get busy around lunch so I recommend you call ahead for pick up. Lamb and rice is ok but the chicken or fish is where the magic happens here.

I ordered gizzards with slaw no fries. 2 chicken legs, a 10 mix no slaw add green beans, 2 half and half’s. The half and half was the best thing in the order. There were no fries in the 10 mix, they didn’t give me my 2 chicken legs. The gizzards hardly had any gizzards to it. I called about the 2 legs. The lady put me on hold then got back on like she didn’t answer the phone I explained for the second time she put me on hold again about 4 minutes got on and hung up the phone. Very bad service and food. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

HipHop Food was horrible. Just flat out disgusting. I ordered lake trout which was fried hard as a brick. The fries were extra crunchy. The fish was extra hard and dry. Not to mention their chicken. I believe they fry it twice which makes it extra hard. These people will serve anything. Food is out right nasty. Banging fish and chicken is 100 times better. Look at this rock hard fish. When i placed my order, i told them I didnt want my food fried hard and yet it was fried extra hard. They will never get in more of my money or business. I’ll starve before I eat anything out of this hell hole!!! They sell complete garbage. Just dog food. In my opinion, I think all Hip Hop chicken restaurants need to close immediately!! The dont care. Will over cook your food. Chicken fried hard as brick… Nasty Work!!!

The fried chicken combo we had was decent. The food itself was good, except for the bread. The bread was just kind of cheap.
As for the customer service, the guy who took our order had poor customer service skills. He was on his phone and dismissive when we asked for condiments, so I will take two stars out for that.

2nd time they sold old, bad chicken to me. That’s not the worst of it. I tell the guy with the tattoo on his left hand that takes the orders up front (think it’s some type of sun tattoo on the back of his left hand), half of the chicken is bad (I ordered 25 and fry and a mac & cheese) , can you remake half the wings. He tells me that’s how they come, bring them back I’ll give your money back. Only went back and forth with him one time. He adamant at insisting these wings are fine. See pic for yourself. Bad attitude, worst food, I’m done with them.

My family decided to try this Hip Hop Chicken for our Sunday fellowship. Big mistake! We placed an order for one tray of fried wings. I am so glad that we only ordered one. When we picked up the tray, it wasn’t even hot. My mouth wasn’t watering either. The wings were small, but golden brown. Needless to say, the wings were overcooked and dry. I couldn’t even finish the 2 on my plate. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this location. I am so glad that we had a variety of other meats at the fellowship. What a waste of money.

I ordered from DoorDash yesterday afternoon , I had the catfish nugget platter and the shrimp one. I don’t know what oil is used to fry this stuff if it was seed oil or something but I have the worst indigestion of my life. Yesterday it was bad heartburn and I had sulfur burps every 10 minutes all night so I didn’t eat anything else, just drank a lot of water. Now my stomach feels like it’s going to implode.

Tried to place an order for pick up and they refused to let me. This was crazy to me cause I can’t understand how they can sell trays and make people wait as long as we had to. Then as is if wasn’t already an terrible experience they refused to provide me a tray to put the wings in, I had to take it in the red boxes. They had no consideration for my experience which is just not my experience at other hip hops. My recommendation is go to other ones, it maybe out the way a bit but I wish I had done that.
