Our server Vera was sweet, had great suggestions, and was very attentive.
The Thanksgiving sandwich was amazing and came with gravy to dip the sandwich in and sweet potato fries. The only thing missing was pumpkin pie.
The roast beef club was so large we had to take it home. French fries were perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Each sandwich came with a cup of soup. The broccoli cheese had clear been cooking a while and was just what you want. Warm and delicious.
Huge slices of pie and rice pudding wrapped up a meal that was the highlight of our day.
The booth we were seated was dirty from guest before us. We told the staff about it and they send a staff member to clean it but they didnt do a great job. Staff didn’t make us feel welcoming, not one smile from anyone, and it felt more like we were being rush to eat and leave.
The food was good, pancakes and bacon egg and chesse sandwich were delicious.
Plenty of parking around the diner.
Service was polite and attentive. Had a young blonde waitress who recommended the breakfast foods. When you get the check you bring it to the register to pay. There’s free wifi.
Plates look fairly large but it’s manageable if you’re hungry.
Had the silver coin special breakfast – was a nice variety of typical diner food. ‘Made it platinum’ for the upcharge, but only got the French toast slice, not the extra toast. Used the ketchup on the table with my hash browns but I think the ketchup had sat too long in the sunlight and went a bit sour.
Silver coin bass ale battered haddock (Friday special menu) – deep fried fish was nice. Crisp and not oily. Picked spinach and mashed potatoes as sides, wasn’t seasoned. Used table salt and pepper. Thought the spinach was a bit over boiled. House salad, picked Greek dressing but it didn’t really feel any Greek to it, was expecting more acidity from olives or something. May have just been a lot of olive oil, probably should have gotten Caesar dressing instead because it was very oily.
Blueberry tart was nice, blueberries were good and the syrup wasn’t too sweet. The crust was crumbly and base/body felt more like cheesecake than just straight blueberry syrup.
Was comfortably air conditioned. Had a comfortable conversation volume.
I ordered the crab cake sandwich and honesty it was the best crab cake iv ever had! We will probably stop here again on our way home and I will definitely be ordering the crab cakes again!
I also ordered the chicken noodle soup which you can tell is homemade! The fried mushrooms where also very good!
The Greek salad was also very very good!
9/10!
The food was good, great fries, the portions generous. The menu is varied with lots of options and/or dietary needs. Wait persons are patient and accommodating.
Lots of families. The restaurant is accessible ♿️, with plenty of room at the tables. The bathrooms, however, even though they are accessible one must manage two doors to enter – and the space tight and requires patience. Large parking lot.
