YUM!!
Alleamin serve some amazing food!
The menu is actually much more extensive than I thought with options that include my favorites, such as lamb and goat.
My first choice was the lamb shank, but they had sold out by the time I ordered so I went with the goat meat.
It was very tender and flavorful, but a bit on the fatty side. The rice was cooked perfectly. The fried salad was fresh and tasty but super super small. It’s two bites small. On the side was very spicy, but obviously freshly made.
The chicken Shawarma was very good and made to order. The mixture of spices made it very complex with the nice aftertaste and it hit just right. Much better than Greek versions.
The service is very good, however the time they took to prepare, the food was a bit longer than I would’ve liked. The food was worth the wait.
Keep in mind that the restaurant is actually part of an indoor food court.

Watching the superbowl here with a huge mix of ethnic backgrounds. Multiple languages being spoken and the smell of amazing food and spices all around. The eating area is so clean and welcoming. But the food…this was the best part! My first time trying these flavors and they are amazing. The spices all compliment eachother so well, the beef is spiced to perfection. The salad had a sweet and tart balsamic to accompany the savory flavors of the meat and lentils. I will absolutely be back.

Only real African food I had have been Ethyopian, thus I was a bit skeptical. I ordered beef sharwarma and boy I was so pleasantly surprised!!! I ordered it with their pasta (instead of rice) and it was great. Turned out the owner is from Somalia and very pleasant experience. Yes, we will go back and try other dishes as well.

Popped into Rockwood Market Hall after a long walk and decided to try something new, I’m very glad I did. The plate I had from Alleamin African Kitchen, tucked into the back corner of the main dining area, was some of the best food I’ve had in a very long time. My (HUGE!) $18 plate consisted of complexly spiced stewed red lentils, tender beef and vegetables, a fresh salad, and chewy, hot flatbread. Every part of the meal was delicious and interesting. In addition to the amazing food, the people running the place were so nice and welcoming and had a lovely chat with me about how they spice their lentils (because if I ever figure it out, I’m going to be eating lentils a lot more often!). Simply some of the best food I’ve ever had in a city that seems to be full of Expensive But Just Okay food spots, probably the best Food Pod restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. I would give eleven stars if I could, and I will be back to try everything else on the menu as soon as I can.

Fantastic food! We had the lamb shank plate (which was beautifully seasoned), and loved it so much we ordered a second one! We also had a berry smoothie that was fab! No added sugar or dairy and it was sweet and tasty! Thank you Alleamin!

Some of the most flavorful food I’ve had. The chicken was so well seasoned, juicy, and tender, I tried to eat the bones! You NEED to try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful Service for such a small place serving it up big. Food is delicious and selection of blended smoothies and the non-alcoholic beverages are divine. 🙂
We will be back for more!

This was our first visit, but it won’t be our last. It’s a small location that’s big on flavor. The savory chicken dishes simply melted in our mouthes, but the star was the salmon.
