Gristmill Cafe is the best all around breakfast place I’ve ever been to. I’m a bit of a food snob, so that says a lot. The staff is awesome, positive, funny, and kind. Everything on the menu is a wonderful flavorful experience. Their specials are always creative and worth a try. Coffee is fantastic and food is always delicious. I especially love their “Wick” collection on the menu with the famed spicy Wick Sauce! The atmosphere is always warm, inviting, and cozy. It’s no surprise that this place has many loyal regulars. Treat yourself and your loved ones to a phenomenal breakfast/lunch experience here at the Gristmill Cafe in Southwick, MA!

My husband was born and raised in Florida where biscuits and gravy are a breakfast staple. He said these were the best he has ever eaten! I had a ham and cheese omelette. It also came with hash browns and sourdough toast. I also ordered a blueberry pancake. The pancake was perfectly cooked and delicious! The omelette was HUGE and very tasty as well! It was stuffed with ham and cheese! Even with my husbands help, I left half of the omelette and most of the has browns. Very filling and delicious meal! Nice place to eat with excellent food! The owner even came out and talked with us to make sure our meal was satisfactory.

The best food in the area. Ask to see Donnie! Get any of the daily specials like the stuffed French toast, or try one of “The Wick” specialties. Chocolate chip pancakes are amazing here!

Been here a few times but today after wrapping up some early morning work in Hartford at 6am and running on about 5 hours sleep across 2 days i decided I didn’t want to have anything to do with thinking about what to eat. so I drove past a few very decent breakfast places for forty minutes just so I could sit down at the Gristmill Counter and tell my server, “give me whatever you want, just no jalapeños”. I ended up with the Special Kay sandwich and a pancake that had crumbled OREO’s ! I dont think I’m ever going to stop thinking about how unique and amazing the food was. As was being able to talk with the cook about the greatest hip hop group ever The Onyx. Everyone here is super great and the owner Don needs his face on the Rushmore of people that know how deal with life’s minor and major inconveniences best. He is really a treat. The man has a humor and wit of a trial attorney and observation comedian rolled into one prime example of the best that New England has to offer.

Spectacular breakfast, awesome service and the owner was super nice. Prices are super reasonable especially in the days we are where Taco Bell is 50 bucks. Our one year old was getting pretty loud so I shushed her- the owner saw and he came over and told us kids can be as loud as they want in his restaurant- anyone who didn’t like it could leave. He had my daughter laughing- it was just a super cool vibe. Had a hash brown casserole thing with their in house hot sauce, a burrito and peaches and cream stuffed French toast with a side of bacon. All top notch and the coffee cup never even gets to half empty. We will be back… apologies for pictures – forgot until we had already started eating lol

On a scale of 1-10. ——10-10-10 all the way. The food is absolutely delicious, our server was such a delight…..fabulous – Everything about this restaurant is outstanding….Great Cup of coffee. My husband had French toast with country style ham and I had the veggie omelette and added feta. Generous portions and good prices Awesome. Will definitely be back. Thank you for such a pleasurable experience!! See ya again soon!!

Went today for the first time, and everything was fantastic! Great service, fantastic food, and quick! One of the best Western omelets I’ve ever had and the pancakes were big and delicious! We will definitely be returning to this spot for sure.
