I have eaten here on numerous occasions and have held luncheon meetings here. The restaurant is always very neat, clean and well-organized. They have a wide variety of food available on their menu and they suggested several items to offer on a limited menu for group luncheons. My choices always seemed to satisfy our group. The food is always delicious, fresh and served quickly. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. If you sit in the porch area, you can watch the river go by. They were very accommodating and offered our group a seating area away from the main dinning room, where we could enjoy our meal and hold our meeting. Since they are located in town and on the main street, there is only street parking available; but, I have never had a problem finding a parking space. It is great to eat here before or after enjoying a walk down the street to shop and window shop at the various shops lining the sidewalk. The restaurant is easily accessible. I highly recommend The River Mill View restaurant, which is known for consistently delicious meals. You will not be disappointed!

A truly memorable experience in a beautiful setting! From the moment I arrived at Miller Mill View, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The three young men serving on the terrace were incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help with suggestions — a rare kind of service that instantly makes you feel at home.
The food was excellent. I had the steak topped with caramelized onions and mushrooms, served over fresh green beans — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite reflected care and quality.
The ambiance is another highlight — clean, cozy, and surrounded by nature. The terrace view is peaceful and relaxing, making it the ideal place to unwind and enjoy a great meal.

Lunch outside, next to river, 95 deg in the shade. Although the outdoor tables are rounds, it worked well to put two together for our group of nine people. Everyone was satisfied with their food.

Two different restaurants in the same town same day two totally different reviews. This place has the most amazing view/ atmosphere! The staff greeted us immediatly, they were very professional yet friendly. They explained the menu and made us feel as if we were the only customers they had all day, but they were busy. The food was very good, interesting menu, reasonable prices. We are coming back Friday for dessert and wine date night!

We enjoyed our first visit to the River Mill View restaurant. Owned by the same owners of Dora’s, this BYOB location has a fantastic outdoor atmosphere to enjoy an outdoor dinner. The service is excellent and so was the food. The chicken parmigiana is very good and comparable to that at Dora’s. The salmon was good, however my wife did prefer the salmon with sauce at Dora’s. Overall a terrific time with a great atmosphere.

A great Italian restaurant in scenic downtown Clinton, you can enjoy the view of the river during the summer or the cozy fireplace during the winter. The pasta dishes are packed with flavor no matter which you get, the cakes are phenomenal, and the kind service is always appreciated!

If we ate in Italy, the food wouldn’t be this good. This is fine Italian dining in a rustic shack in a quaint little old town. The mushroom raviolis were paper thin not like the bulky dense noodles you get at regular NJ restaurants. The dipping oil turned plain bread into the most delicious garlic bread that my kids loved even though it was loaded with what looked like pesto. We actually asked for more with no shame. My daughter ate every noodle with marinara. All of our meals were anything but run of the mill NJ Italian. You have to buy wine by the bottle and I don’t think they have beer. I do wish they put signage up with the restaurant name. we walked past the restaurant twice and in circles since we came to the town for the haunted attractions. finally, after 30 minutes of walking past it twice, we asked a local who showed us.

Located shyly in the corner of the street, with hidden terrace around the corner by the river, The River Mill View make a terrific retreat for a nice meal and a break from the loudly world.
The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the picturesque river bank is unbeatable.
We have tried the salmon and the flounder filet, resting on a mashed potato bed, and accompanied by sauted spinach. Light and very testy.
The lemonade and iced tea were good as well. All together, we had a restful pleasant time to the River Mill view, and that’s why I want to give credit were credit is due.
