Went to subway in Kalama for dinner tonight, got there at 7:00pm. I walked in and everything was closed down like they were closing for the night. I turned around to doubled check the hours and it’s posted 9am-10pm every day of the week on the front door and states the same hours online. At that same time, I noticed that the open sign was also shut off. Nothing was posted anywhere that they were closing early at 7:00pm so very confusing. Only 2 female employees were there, one was counting tips & leaving, the other that was helping us did not look happy to be there at all. I asked for Italian herbs & cheese bread, the female employee told me that they were out & only had plain Italian bread & wraps. I have never been to a subway that was out of bread. They were also out of the majority of their chip selection & the cookies had chunks missing out of them. The female employee then grabbed 2 loafs of Italian bread from the case for the sandwiches I ordered. Believe it or not, both items pictured are the same Italian bread! As you can clearly see in the picture, one of the loafs of Italian bread was fresh. The other loaf of Italian bread looks like the oldest, burned, most stale loaf of bread that she could have pulled out of the case (there was multiple other fresh ones available in the case but this is was what she selected for me & my kids). This loaf of bread was hard as a rock and absolutely disgusting! Like I’m still in complete disbelief that she selected & gave us this nasty loaf of bread. I ordered 2 foot long sandwiches, 3 chips & 3 cookies. The total was over $30 dollars and the foot long with the nasty bread wasn’t even edible and I had to throw that whole foot long away. Very upsetting from a customer standpoint. I would not recommend going here and will definitely not be returning.

I’m not sure what’s happening at this Subway location? They are always out of key ingredients.
The last time I was there, they were out of ham and had limited chips. Today at lunchtime, they were out of turkey, meatballs, ice for the fountain drinks, and all bottled drinks. And the vegetables were still frozen. Did someone forget they are running a business?

Had a great meal. The lady working professionally told us she was working on a online order. Wow, was she hopping! 4 sandwiches and only a few minutes later it was our turn. I had some special requests on the bagging the wrap so I could eat it while driving. She was very accommodating! A great visit!

The young man & gal working the night shift tonight are awesome. It’s not often you walk in a restaurant this time of night & are greeted with smiles & wonderful service! The sandwich’s are KILLER & the place is clean! Great job guys 🙂

Staff was super nice. I believe it was Karson. He was attentive and made our sandwiches how we asked them to be made.
The young lady who made her personal sandwich while we were standing there waiting to order was having fun with the mayonnaise and spilling meat pieces into the lettuce could have cleaned up her mess before walking out the door.
I would have liked lettuce on my sandwich but I don’t eat meat.

I love this subway they are the only subway that makes my sandwich perfect and don’t want to see them leave. They might not have everything for my sandwich but they are busy and the people that work there are great

4.5 stars in actuality. Took a long time to take our orders (they seemed very preoccupied with their online orders), but my BLT had an extra great amount of bacon, so that made up for it. Also, the bathroom is good for a stop when you’re driving but not the best overall. Thanks!
