I’ve never been here in person. BUT we are blessed by an Angel who lives out that way and brings us delectable treats from this gem on a weekly basis. I have had a dozen croissants from this place in the last year. Maybe two … every creation is a beautiful marry of flavors, savory and sweet. They have mastered it all. I have asked if there’s a loyalty card or VIP membership. Well done friends. Just well freaking done.

Homemade bread and pastries are such a treat! Tecumseh Bread and Pastry has more than that though! It was very hard to choose. I landed on a regular croissant and a raspberry cream cheese pastry. The croissant was flaky and crispy on the outside and buttery soft of the inside. The pastry had plenty of sweet cream cheese and raspberry. I like that the kitchen is open so you can see in. The woman at the counter greeted me and was patient with me while I ogled the many delicious looking treats in the case. She greeted a local woman by name and sold her the last of the spinach feta mini quiche. She even gave me a recommendation for another local spot, the British Pantry Tea Garden, which I really appreciated. I’d definitely return.

Awesome family owned and operated place that makes freshbreads and pastries.
Some of the best coffee around.
Be sure to stop in Wednesday thru Saturday and say hello to Arlo and his wife.
Inside can be a little cramped, but tables outside in back.

I thought I would get to the bakery in time to sample some of their wares, but it seems they sell out of most of their bread quite early. By the time I arrived, there wasn’t much to choose from. That being said, the cinnamon rolls and feta pastries I was able to purchase were delicious. The savory cheese pastries were especially good. I’d love to get their bread someday, but it’ll be difficult considering the distance. Judging by what I tried, however, this is a good bakery if you can get there in time.

Wonderful hand crafted assortment of delicious pastries. I recommend the feta & spinach one, or the classic chocolate croissant. But honestly you will enjoy anything from here. They also have coffee and tea options and a nice atmosphere. Lovely owners and bakery!

We were so thrilled to find this special little family run artisan bakery! The spinach feta croissants and breakfast cookies were perfect. The PB chocolate granola we attempted to take home barely made it past the car it was so good. We especially loved their low added sugar ingredients (thank you!) and can’t wait to get one of their yummy teas next time.
We are bummed not to have a gem like this in our own town but will definitely be back!

What can I say, I loved this place so much I’m at a loss as to what to say to do it justice, but I’ll do my best. First off, let me apologize for the lack of photos, we felt so comfortable here, and I forgot my intent to do a review.
Let’s start with the proprietors of this local gem; Alison and Arlo were absolutely delightful. They were welcoming and friendly, and their pride and care in all they do and offer made all the difference. This is a scratch bakery, folks! There is obvious intent in every ingredient, and it’s evident in every bite. We dined in and took more home. We tried a number of offerings, the cinnamon roll, and feta and spinach croissant and multi grain sourdough bread (sliced while you wait) were all stand outs but am completely confident in recommending anything that peaks your interest, you won’t be disappointed. The interiors were bright, comfortable, and welcoming. My only regret is not being able to give a mark higher than 5 stars.
My takeaway; This bakery is totally worth a visit, so goto Tecumseh, stop in and say hello to Arlo and Alison and take in an experience that will leave you with a smile! Looking forward to our return!

My husband and I were so happy to find this place. The owners are kind and thoughtful, always asking how we are and they even remembered us after only one visit. Their bread and pastries are delicious and you can taste the quality ingredients and passion that is put into each bake. I hope that we can move closer so we can get these treats every weekend!

Chocolate Croissant and Hot chocolate:
Croissant felt/ tasted day old. Chocolate in the Croissant was in short supply. Hot Chocolate was hot water with a dash of Coco. Customer asked if they are made daily… response was, “pretttttty much.” Sitting area needed wiped. One and done, works in a pinch for some with no taste buds but lacks quality.

You can tell it’s a genuine high quality bakery by looking but the taste of their bread, pretzels, croissants, and other baked goods reveals that this is a step above your typical small town bakery.
