Good food, but not what I ordered.
I got the mango chicken based off the photo on their website, picked it up for takeout and was disappointed to see a regular chicken curry. Called to ask if I was given the wrong order and he informed me that they just use photos off google as their menu photos.

I ordered Amritsari kulcha and what an amazing choice to order. They made it absolutely delicious, the filling of kulcha has potato and onion only not paneer and comes with nice plain yogurt and tasty chickpeas. I ordered a green chilli with it and some tea which was amazing as well

Absolutely delicious food. The order took time but I guess they were busy preparing the online orders. Overall we enjoyed dinning in there. The portions were generous and delicious. Will visit again.

The Spice Root Indian Cuisine is Situated in a cute part of Ladner Village with inside seating, as well as public outdoors amenity areas in the summer. The service staff is very friendly, the food was prepared quickly, hot and fresh to order. Their Amritsary Kulcha plate was a healthy portion of food, but a little bland for my taste. I’m assuming they tone down the flavours to adhere to the local demographic. I had asked for spicy, but was not that spicy at all. Other than that, the place is a solid value for what you pay, and the service is awesome!

Recently ordered Take out from Spice root for a party of 15 people. The food was great, especially the vege pakoras and shahi paneer. I was pleasantly surprised to get complimentary rice with every two orders of curry. Will definitely be ordering again.

This is probably my favourite take-out place ever. My husband and I love the food here, the portions are good for the price and it always tastes AMAZING. They have a really wide range of dishes on their menu, lots of vegetarian options and mild/medium/hot options on most dishes. If you’re hungry and you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth checking them out!

The atmosphere is not the reason to visit this place. They can only do so much with the limited space. Its the food. The food is LEGIT. Nothing flashy, nothing fancy. Just authentic Indian food made right. I’ll be sure to visit again.

Last 14 years , I already eat from several indian restaurants in bc ,but this time the food is no 1,perfect flavor, perfect spice,perfect quantity, perfect packed and very quick delivery through door dash, the tawa roti is better than homemade roti, thanks alot to chef and other staff members.
