I normally never leave reviews but felt like I needed to in this instance. This was my first time trying out this bakery and was a little disappointed that nothing was labeled, wasn’t sure what any one item was. I want to preface by saying I have pretty bad food allergies to peanuts and tree nuts, so I do rely on labels to let me know what things are and what they contain. Thankfully my husband was with me and pointed out things that did not look like they had nuts in them. I had picked out a piece of lemon cake and some snickerdoodle looking cookies and some sugar cookies. Upon checking out, we asked to make sure they didn’t have nuts in it. I was then informed that the cookies were made with almond paste and that most of everything else were cross contaminated. So I instead went with a Gelato that was pretty much tasteless. My husband ended up still purchasing the cookies to eat himself and he was also disappointed as they were stale.
As a first time customer, it truly is disappointing as nut allergies are not a new thing and many people have them so to not at least label things or put a giant disclaimer that everything is either made with almond paste or cross contaminated is crazy to me. Unfortunately I will not be back, which is sad because I was truly excited to give them a try.

I walked in at 8:07–8:10 PM after getting out of school. The door was unlocked and open, and there were two people sitting inside. Any reasonable customer would assume the store was still serving. If the bakery truly closes at 8:00, the door should have been locked.
I was simply trying to buy two cannolis for my sister’s birthday. Instead of a polite “Sorry, we’re closed,” I was met with a rude, dismissive attitude. The combination of the attitude and leaving empty-handed after a long day completely ruined the experience.
This was a basic, quick request, but more importantly, it was handled poorly. Customer service matters. Between the dismissive behavior and lack of professionalism, this will be the last time I go here. I have no problem driving elsewhere to a bakery that treats customers with basic respect.

Update: Well, Unfortunately, this will be my last visit. Decided to give them one more shot, and got some Zeppole for a family dinner. Took one bite of the ricotta one and knew something was wrong. They either forgot the sugar completely in the ricotta filling, or measured incorrectly: I called to let them know that 7 I purchased, were all inedible and the response was just “well, you can bring time back if you want…….” If I want? No, I don’t want. I want to enjoy my dinner with my family and eat good dessert. I ended up taking all the filling out, adding powdered sugar and refilling them all. So, I paid $50 to disassemble my pastries, fix them and remake them. Without an even “Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry about that!”
It seems the owners don’t give a crap, since they don’t respond to reviews. I’ll find a bakery that cares and give them my business instead.

Today (Dec 11th we came in 30 minutes before closing) there were 2 young girls working, we walked in and were never greeted-despite the fact the two girls were standing at the counter staring at us. I greeted them “hey guys, how are you” nothing but blank stares. One girl started helping the gentleman before us, while the other one said nothing while we stood there. Very awkwardly. At this point we were speculating if she even works there. Finally she approached us and said “do you know what you want”. Gave her the order, ask her a question on the pricing of something and she responds “it’s by weight” ok, is it $5.00 a pound or $20 a pound. Sat down to ate. Everyone likes their stuff, but my lobster tail was stale. Went to leave thinking surely someone will tell us to have a good night and crickets. So, I wished them a good night and left. I understand they are kids. But, I also own a business that employs teenagers, and my number one priority is customer service and experience. So, the point of this review is purely to notify the owner or manager of the situation. Because, if it was me, I would want to know. Once I receive a reply I will delete if you want.

Both times I’ve tried Mozzicato’s it’s clear that the items are all old and have been sitting in the cases too long. Everything I’ve tried has been disappointing at best – dry, stale, overly sugary to compensate for lack of actual flavor. I would honestly go to the grocery store for baked goods before coming back here.

Outstanding quality. Ordered a canoli cake for a birthday. The cream frosting was amazing. The cake was great tasting, flavorful, and fresh- didn’t have the artificial cake mix taste. Best canoli cake we have ever had- price was very reasonable. Ordered the small that serves 7-10 but it served 12 easily. Would never order anywhere else!!

They gave me wrong item paid for ricotta. Cannolis gave me custard found out on the holiday when the box was opened owner would not credit me or reimburse me my money. No longer Customer. Prior year got a sour Italian pudding cake for birthday and couldn’t eat it. Owner was very rude and doesn’t even stand by his own product. Just lost the whole families’s orders going forward will never go back. Going down hill. Plus they doubled their prices on everything.Reported to BBB.
