You definitely get a lot of food in your order, this is a nice option if you want leftovers or to share with someone. The combo dinners are a good value, they come with fries and a piece of bread. I am not sure about the bread as a side, it seemed like its purpose was to soak up moisture in the box. It was a slice of plain white sandwich bread. We got a variety of sauces to try as well. The food reheats really well in the air fryer if you have leftovers.

I stopped by this location on the 19th and was extremely disappointed. As a Chicagoan in the culinary field and cook I expected better. Everything was inedible, and the fries were so greasy. For the $40 price tag I would not recommend. I ordered a ten piece wing and 2 piece perch meal. NOTHING can be substituted which is not okay if you have an food allergy or can’t eat something due to other health issues. They need to hire better cooks with experience and this place will thrive.

Gizzards had the most flavor of any I’ve had in the area and were so tender you could bite thru them no problem without a ton of fat. Perfect amount of seasoning and the breading didn’t get all mushy but was still a nice crunch without ripping your mouth apart

If you have to follow a low sodium diet don’t go here.

Having said that, food was good, large portions, well seasoned. Got the chicken fingers with fries, two piece cod meal with fries and fried mushrooms.

Everything was good, fish had a cornmeal type of breading. Chicken strip were crunchy and moist inside, hard to do for most restaurants. Mushrooms seemed to be the frozen type, but still good.

Coleslaw was very wet, but with a little pepper it was on par with that Kentucky chicken place.

Plan to wait for awhile, because they make it as it’s ordered, but overall it’s worth it!

Very new place. Only a few weeks open. The people who run it are awesome. Very friendly. The place is very plain but clean and neat. All that means nothing as the food is very very good. I have had the catfish, shrimp, chicken, fries, coleslaw, hush puppies and everything was very good. The fries and hush puppies are of pretty basic variety. But the fish, shrimp and chicken are above and beyond. Go here now and often. Very good food and super nice ppl. And the prices are very down to earth as well.

Absolutely delicious, best fried fish I’ve had in the area. Particularly fond of the cod and catfish, shrimp was good too. Their desserts were very nice, would recommend the chocolate cake. Food is always prompt and very fresh.

Have ordered pickup twice before and it was great! This time, Cole slaw was left out of our order. I called restaurant, left message because no one answered, and asked them to call me back to at least acknowledge they received my message.
No call back.
Few restaurants have survived being in that location. We are willing to support them, but only if our input is valued.

They got great new electronic menu boards. You go in and order at the front counter and they bring your food to you.
They were very nice. They seem to be very busy with call in take out orders.

My husband ordered chicken and I had tilapia. We both had a side of fries and Cole slaw.
The meats and fries were both seasoned very well. They were delicious. The coleslaw was excellent. I followed my meal up with a slice of New York Cheese Cake. It was spot on.

We will be returning to this restaurant.

i was cruising down 1st ave with the kid on our mopeds; when i saw the sign and it reminded me of a place in chicago with a similar name … hoping they too would have chicken gizzards, i decided to go inside … the gizzards are tasty (four orders in two days) … the kid says the chicken and hush puppies are very good … will be trying the catfish nuggets next

Just got back from a early Valentine’s Day lunch. Great surprise! My husband said best coleslaw he has had in years. I had the 7 piece large shrimp, with the coleslaw & french fries. Huge shrimp that were excellent . He had the 2 piece cod, coleslaw & French fries. He also had a order his puppies. He said his was all very good. He told the owner as we were leaving he would definitely see him again soon. Forgot to take a picture of his, but remembered to take a picture of mine. I’ll see if I remember how to post it.
