Casual spin-off of next-door Smith & Wollensky, offering steaks and burgers till late hours.
Eric San José
This is the bar section of Smith and Wollensky steakhouse. It is open late on Saturday and Sunday when the regular restaurant is closed. A nice more casual feel. Nice staff. You can order from the bar menu and the full restaurant menu. Clean facilities. New York City prices so bring your credit cards. Give this place a try for in the area. We will definitely be going back.

I had a very late reservation after just flying into NYC, and despite the hour, we were treated so warmly. No one rushed us at all, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. The bartender was incredibly friendly, and even the management stepped in to kindly help us when we accidentally came in the wrong way.
The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides were just as amazing. Everything about the experience was fantastic from the service to the food. I’ll absolutely be back the next time I’m in New York!

Old school steak house. Really enjoyed the porterhouse for two and the creamed spinach is world class. A must go if you are in the midtown area and in the mood for a good steak. They also have a killer burger. Shout out to Tony our waiter, great job pal!

I came here on Thursday afternoon. I ordered a pea soup and a New York strip steak. It came with free, delicious bread and butter, and I even received complementary espresso. I enjoyed the pea soup, but I’m not sure about whether it worth the price tag ($16). I guess it is 3-4 stars given the price point. The New York steak was well cooked, i enjoyed it; I asked for medium rare, and a medium rare steak I got. Two small suggestions: there are a little bit too much burnt meat (turning into a blackened charred layer of bitter crust that I can smell 3 feet away) and it was not salted before delivering (I can use table salt, but given the dark ambient, I could not see the amount of salt very well).

Pro tip: ditch the burger and go for the filet sandwich! That was pretty good.
Service was great and friendly but pretty chill! This is not fast food, so go there to have a good time.

Came all the way from Times Square to have the amazing burger and the cop salad that we read about. Our total time and seat was about an hour and 20 minutes. My hamburger had to be sent back twice and the Cobb salad was missing several ingredients. We talked to the host and expressed our displeasure and I still got brought over a bill for the two drinks that we had. If someone spends an hour and a half of their life waiting for food And leaves hungry everything should be taken care of. Unsatisfactory will never come back again and will be called a general manager to request a full refund for the drinks I was charged for.

Great meal. The waiter spilled a small single drop of wine on my friends shirt, not a huge crisis…and they immediately brought out a free bottle!

This place doesn’t skimp on portion size. The martini was basically two in one, which I’m definitely not complaining about. The split pea soup was delicious and could easily be split, no pun intended. I didn’t care for the caesar salad as it lacked dressing, flavor, and the hearts of romaine were bitter; they served me the throw away section. The summer special came with a large 16-ounce filet mignon — double what I’m used to. While large, it could have used more seasoning or salt. There was table salt and cheap already ground pepper, I used both. I also ordered the bread and was pleasantly surprised with a generous variety of fresh, different breads. If you’re hungry, this is your kind of place. Though it does seem like a boys night out type of place even though they really pack you in, trying to make use of every square inch, which I don’t prefer. As for the service, it was friendly but very slow. I’m not curious to try any other menu item so this was my first and last time here.

A Carnivore’s Dream Come True!
From the moment we walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was warm and inviting, sophisticated and setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
The first bite was pure bliss – tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. You could tell that they use high-quality cuts of meat, expertly prepared.
The service was also top-notch. Our server, wish I remembered his name, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations.
I can’t wait to go back!

Recently, I visited Wollensky’s Grill for an early dinner with a friend. The service was great, and the ambiance was pretty nice. We both ordered the Grill Sirloin medium rare, which was average at best, and we were disappointed. The calamari appetizer was OK and hash browns was actually good, but I was expecting way more from the stake. I wish we had gone to the Smith & Wollensky next door.
