Absolutely blown away by our experience at Bortolotti’s Cin Cin in Eagle River. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right — the music, the warm lighting, and the cozy, tasteful decor set the perfect scene for a great meal.

The wait staff was phenomenal — super attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great time. That kind of service makes all the difference.

Now the food? Unreal. We started with the dinner salad and soup, and both were fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. Then came the main dishes — and wow. The carbonara was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned — easily the best I’ve ever had. And the Chicken Siciliano was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and plated beautifully. Every bite was a reminder that this is real Italian cooking.

Honestly, Bortolotti’s Cin Cin is the only Italian restaurant worth going to in Eagle River. If you’re in the area and craving Italian, don’t even think twice. This place is a gem.

Great family-owned Italian restaurant. It’s in an out-of-the-way location next to the Eagle River airport. Inventive northern Italian menu. Wine list is awesome with a number of Italian wines at reasonable prices. I had the sausage and meat lasagna and loved it. The eggplant appetizer was delicious. Trent, our server, was very attentive.

Best meal i have had in a very long time! Drinks and overall service were fantastic as well. Would definitely frequent this restaurant if I lived closer. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

The staff was very helpful and inviting. The pasta dishes came out nice-and-hot. I heard the sea bass was amazing. My friends who are wine drinkers really liked the bottle they purchased.

We really enjoyed our experience at Cin Cin. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. They warn you that it will take time for service which I would agree it was very slow. We completely understand and we were extremely patient with our server who was constantly running around to a full dining room. However the wait was well worth it, we had an appetizer and shared two entrees (Ahi Tuna and Veggie Pasta). Both were so good, we had a hard time splitting the plates. I am giving them 5 stars but warn others, you will spend a while here, so be patient, and highly recommend reserving a table!!

Not sure where to start here…
The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because their food was AMAZING. Otherwise, they deserve 1 or 0 stars.
However, there were countless things that we disliked.
-We spent a total of 2 hours there (yes there was a disclaimer on the table that each dish takes 20-25 minutes to make…but that equals 50 minutes, not 120).
-We had two waiters working together and neither of them said more than 10 total words to us…and neither asked how our food was while we were eating. And no, they were not busy.
-When we finally asked for our check, we saw that we were charged $13 for the salad that was supposed to be included with the meal. We were in such a hurry to get out of there, we didn’t even want to ask for it to be removed. That probably would have taken another 20 minutes.
-They also charge a fee (I believe 3.5% percent?) if you pay your bill with a credit card.
I could go on and on, but to sum it up, if we would have had cash on us, we would have put a $10 on the table and left while we were sipping on our sodas waiting an hour for our food. Definitely won’t be back due to the poor customer service and extra fees for paying the way most all people do now-a-days. 5 stars to the chefs though! Thank you!

We have eaten here three times now and each meal has been excellent. The staff was attentive and graciously accommodated our special meal requests. I am vegan and they prepared a lovely orecchiette pasta with fresh vegetables. My husband enjoyed the lasagna. The wine and cocktail list is substantial and complements the delicious Italian cuisine.

We came here to celebrate a college graduation and had a mix of opinions among our party. We had issues with multiple dishes.

2 of our party members ordered the carbonara and found it to be very watery; neither of them were interested in finishing their meals. The Walleye was unimpressive; we expected local fish to be cooked/seasoned properly and it was lacking flavor.

The saffron seafood linguini was a total scam. The shrimp was ridiculously overcooked and the best way I can describe the mussels was that they did not taste anywhere near fresh, the scallops were decent. One of our party members will eat anything and is not very picky so he offered to take the shrimp and mussels because they were inedible in my opinion.

Obviously, I chose not to send the meal back or I wouldn’t have had another member of our party finish the seafood, but I did choose to let management know because (as someone who has worked in customer service) i found the quality of the dish to be unacceptable (especially for something they charge $40 for) and wanted them to be aware so they could address it for the future.

They were very combative and dismissive. I was expecting a response of “I’m so sorry I will let the Chef/Manager know so we can fix that for next time”, instead they came back and said “Well, I don’t know what you want, we can’t comp anything on this”. Not once did we indicate that we were looking for compensation. I was very frustrated to receive that kind of attitude from the staff at what I expected to be a well run establishment.

We also spent over 3 hours there. We were expecting a european style dinner going into it, but we also expected properly cooked food. On top of that we asked if there would be a wait time for the desserts and were told no there would not be a wait time because none of them need to be baked. 25 minutes after ordering we were informed they do in fact need to be baked and we were stuck there for another 45 minutes as a result!

And at the end of our dinner after expressing discontent multiple times and receiving no effort from the management to make it right, the staff had the audacity to say to us “We are so glad you enjoyed your meal, please leave a positive review for $5 off on your return visit”. Suffice it to say we will not be returning…

Hurt my tooth expecting to have to chew the beef. Meat was too tender. Servers were also too friendly, and perfectly seasoned and cooked Broccoli could not be ordered in bulk. Only recommend if you are interested in real homemade food and good atmosphere. Otherwise steer clear.
