I always go here for grinders whenever I am in DT Niantic area. The grinders are ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY GREAT. The Italian bread is FRESHLY BAKED & pillowy soft but with a slight chew to the crust so it holds up to the sauces or oil & vinegar. There’s always plenty of protein & veggies. The portions are GENEROUS. I tend to order a small turkey, provolone LTMOP, with a bit of spicy mustard. They cook many of their meats IN HOUSE EVERY AM . They always use fresh veggies in all their menu items: shredded Iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, white onion, dill pickles, peppers etc.
The SMALL sub is a LARGE anywhere else. I had chicken salad today & I am VERY picky about chicken salad. It was ALL shredded white meat chicken breast with some mayo. It was EXCELLENT. I am now an also a HUGE FAN of their CHICKEN CUTLET. IT’S ABSOLUTELY DELISH. 2 pieces of lightly breaded & fried white meat chicken breast LTMO. Prepared perfectly!
It’s CLEAN TOO. There were no empty plates or trash anywhere.
All the staff are WONDERFUL: Friendly, polite, helpful, responsive, efficient & gracious. They work extremely hard to get orders out to everyone in a timely fashion: constantly multitasking orders. The grinders here are ALWAYS DELISH & THE STAFF are AWESOME!

Had a 12″ ham today. Advice to anyone new going, just a 6″ will do you. They pack that sandwich so full with ham I could only eat HALF of it and I don’t see me being hungry enough to finish the other half til tomorrow lol. And it’s cheap for a ginormous sandwhich all I paid was $10 and some change. Subway move over cause I just found a better place. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Niantic area and looking for a food grinder

Unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. $13 with tax and tip for this half grinder. While the taste was good, the size absolutely didn’t warrant the price (as you can see it wasn’t even the advertised 8″) and the fillings fell short. Maybe you’ll have a better experience…….

We’ve gone here a few times for lunch and we were always happy. We had a family get together and decided to order the food (4 ft sub cut onto platters) for the party from them. They did not disappoint: the food and service were great. The sandwiches were a hit with everyone at the party.

Great food and always consistent , it’s hard to pick just one kind of sandwich. I love the steak n cheese, chicken salad and the chicken cutlet all equally.. It’s always a tough decision to make. I let the owner surprise me haha. It’s a great experience, very welcoming. I always feel right at home here ❤️

Hell no I’d suggest Giuliano’s instead or any grinder place close by ….. this philly 13 dollar size portion was good but was absolutely one of the most oversalted food items I’ve ever consumed did not ask for extra salt also tasted like a literal salt lick I wouldn’t come here if reading honest experience subway is better than what I had today and that’s bad really bad ..couldn’t finish it anyways cause of salt had to take off 3/4 of meat on side i ate smh …don’t come here complete waste of money

I had a Deluxe Italian Combo half grinder. This is a half grinder anybody that can eat a whole is my hero. Lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños and oil and vinegar was added. This was a phone order placed grinder. The roll got a little soggy by the time I got it. Not a fault of HGG. If you order ahead maybe skip the liquid.
