I love sushi and probably Tsunami has one of the best offerings in San Jose. When it doesn’t offer discounts, it feels pricey (30+$ per person). These days there is a 50% off in selective choices, and thus makes it more affordable to go often ($20 average).
Putting the price aside, Tsunami has a good of variaty of sushi, and a few more plates of cooked dishes. The service has always been great, and on weekends, there is also live performance.

This place has delicious food. We order the lunch box and it had protein, solid sushi rolls in Cantonese rice. The parking spot for this place is very spacious and the staff are very gentle.
It is very difficult to find good customer service in Costa Rica especially in restaurants.
In this place they make sure dad you are taking care of.
I give it five stars because of the price the food in the parking lot.

Accessible place with plenty of parking if you go by car. The restaurant itself has plenty of tables for customers and the food served is good, a bit pricey though.
Even though the food was delicious, it took a little bit to be served considering it was kind of empty at that moment.
About the service, even though it was good there is room for improvement. For example, when there was someone at our table that wanted to pay, all of us were prompted with bills to pay, us feeling like we had to finish and go out soon.
Other than that, the place is good.

This restaurant has great food and service. It has an energetic ambiance and modern decor. The portion sizes are very large so it’s a great place for groups.

Over price sushi if you are a tourist. I seriously doubt in San Jose the price like NYC is justice. Not to mention they cannot even get the sushi rice right. I have tasted sushi world wide and this place is the worst I ever have. No fresh fish, miso soup was salty, terrible cutting of everything, from fish to tofu. Sauces are as terrible as it can be. There presentation are and the decorations are nice but terriable service. If you are fancy for sushi, avoid this one.

Don’t gamble on cheap sushi, spend a few extra dollars and go to Tsunami Sushi you won’t regret it. Fresh high quality sushi at reasonable prices. I will be back often.
