It might be the only game in town — and to be fair, the food is good… but not great.

They do make their bread in-house, which is genuinely their strongest move and absolutely worth trying. Fresh bread will always have my attention.

They also offer a full spread of desserts and lunch sandwiches, which makes the menu feel promising on paper.

In execution, though, things don’t quite reach the level the setup suggests.

Now let’s talk about the prices, because for being in the middle of nowhere, they are audacious. We’re flirting with big-city pricing without quite delivering big-city execution.

I tried the croissant. Yes, it was freshly baked… but somehow still underwhelming. It desperately needed a warm-up moment — cold croissants are a crime against butter. Speaking of butter: the individually packaged corporate packs? If you’re making bread from scratch, homemade butter should not be where the magic stops. The energy felt very “artisan on the outside, hotel continental breakfast on the inside.”

I also ordered the breakfast croissant, which was… fine. Perfectly edible. Entirely forgettable. The kind of sandwich you eat while thinking about a better sandwich you once had.

What’s missing here is ingredient quality and a bit more intention. Cleaner, better-sourced components would elevate this place overnight.

Overall: I tried a bit of everything. Nothing was bad. Nothing was transcendent. It’s good — just not good enough to justify the price tag.

Would I eat here again if I were already nearby and hungry? Sure.

Would I go out of my way? Let’s not get carried away.

Passing through pahrump for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, we looked at google for food recommendations and settled in Oh Happy Bread.
There were several other patrons which was a good sign. Fresh baked bread and pastries were abundant. Our food came in a timely manner. I enjoyed a half turkey cranberry sandwich with a small serving of French onion soup. Hubby ate a full turkey sandwich and liked it very much. It was all very good, I highly recommend.

What a gem! You’ll find this fantastic spot in one of the many unassuming Pahrump strip malls. You’ll be transformed and transported to a French bakery once inside. Delicious breads baking in the huge oven, a pastry chef working her magic and topped off by an attentive, friendly staff. We shared a delicious omelette, apple crêpe and each had coffee. Highly recommend!

Saw a sign along rt 160 on my way to Death Valley and decided to stop and what a pleasant surprise! I am French and this is probably the “Frenchest” bakery I have seen in the US! I only tried pastries and was impressed by the choice and quality. I had croissant, pain aux raisins, palmier and a cannelé and it felt like being in a regular boulangerie in France. There is also an wide choice of very French breads! The decoration is very querky and very French: books, posters, knick knacks, etc. I even saw a grammar book that I had to read back in school in the 80s!
I also stopped on my was from Death Valley!

A hidden gem in Pahrump, NV. Stopped and hoping to go back for chicken sandwich (Pan Bagnat) and almond croissants, and browny. All were great and took some to Death Valley. Great whole day meal for me in the wilderness. Can not wait to be back!

Their sourdough margherita pizza was absolutely delicious. I was able to call it in ahead of time and when I picked it up it was still fresh. They take about 45 minutes to bake and have ready, so I highly recommend ordering ahead of time like I did. We had a blueberry cheesecake, Boston cream and one other filled beignet that were so very good. The blueberry cheesecake beignet was our favorite! It made for the perfect New Years meal and I cannot wait to go back!

Simple order on a Thursday: croissant and a Cappuccino. Got the croissant it was perfect. 15 minutes later while watching the young lady help many many customers I got the cappuccino with a side order of attitude. Bad service but the bread and pastries are great.

What delightful treats for the senses. Very charming atmosphere with chandeliers. Great welcoming smiles showing pride in their showcase of goodies. The bread was crusty was a delightful crumb. I filled a box with pastries and all were exceptional. We took extra back to our rental and thoroughly enjoyed them with coffee and cocoa throughout the day. Life’s too Short not to enjoy.

This place is a hidden gem! We are staying nearby and were looking for a lunch spot and O Happy Bread came up in our search. So glad it did! I ordered the special, the “Adult Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque. The sandwich was delcious and everything so fresh! And the soup was rich and amazing. You can tell there is a lot of love that goes into making the food served here. I’m looking forward to returning and trying some of their other offerings.

What I love about O Happy Bread is the decor you can tell by looking around you’ve entered a Bakery in France with French music playing but little did you know it’s in Pahrump NV. Service is great the staff greets you with a smile and willing to give you information about their menu. Food is outstanding made fresh so don’t be in a rush, take in what you went in for a little relaxation and stress-free from the day ahead, it’s all about why you came into this French Bakery. We have family who lives in Pahrump and visits O Happy Bread as often as possible. We had breakfast, my brother-in-law had their strawberry crepes and my wife had their spinach crepes. I think they enjoyed them because during breakfast they didn’t talk…haha my other brother-in-law had their sausage, ham and bacon omelette (me too) and my sister-in-law had their breakfast sandwich. Like I said our table was quite and eating. Their specialty coffees are excellent and my brother-in-law had hot chocolate and also gave the two thumbs up. Our experience was great and their morning crowd was very excited about what they were getting. Frappe was to die for according to my sister-in-law. We will return on our way back to California.
