Absolutely delicious breakfast! The food was homey and comforting, with quality, simple ingredients. I could tell the chef is really experienced. I’d love to check out more of her other dishes. Delicious, rich biscuits. I had the green eggs and ham, which was collard greens on top of grits, with ham and an egg on top. Really creative and the collard greens were perfect!
Came back again and the restaurant is even better. Wonderful!

Awesome food and friendly people. Their grits are easily some of the best I have ever had, I highly recommend trying them. This is also one of the very few breakfast places I’ve been to over the years that cooked my eggs over easy properly, most other places give them to you half raw, they cooked it perfectly here. Bacon stuffed French toast my wife got was also really good. Definitely recommend stopping by here.

Had a nice lunch in this great little roadside diner. I really enjoyed the “Homecoming” BBQ Pork sandwich & hand cut french fries.
The Staff was very welcoming.
The Christmas tree was up. Look closely (Jingle bells, shotgun shells)

Grilled chicken, cheese, slaw, and grilled pineapple sandwich on a pretzel bun! It was fantastic!! Fresh fruit was not from a can: kiwi, mango, and pineapples. Will go back every time we visit!!

I stopped by for lunch a few days ago. I had no clue that this restaurant had changed from what it was the last time I visited (probably 10 years ago) BUT let me tell you, the cheeseburger and fries that I had were AMAZING. I expected an ordinary, “middle of no where” cheeseburger with crinkle cut fries but what I received was the kind of quality that I would expect from a high end burger restaurant. Legit the best burger and fries that I can recall having. The girl working
was extremely friendly and personable. So glad I re-found this place. I will definitely make frequent visits from now on.

We ate here every single day we were visiting my dad, which was 6 days! It is great food, friendly service, and the prices are expected prices for the food you get. A burger with fries was like $9 and change I believe. A breakfast plate with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, toast, grits or smashed potatoes and a jelly in a little jar was around $10. The food was well worth it in my opinion! They have fresh produce for sale in the summer, they use quality ingredients, it’s just a charming place to grab a bite by the lake. I’ll be back next time I’m there, guaranteed!

We have eaten here several times, and it has been wonderful every time! We have only had breakfast, but from the quality of it, I believe everything here would be worth the drive. The biscuits and gravy are delicious, and so are the smashed potatoes, but my favorite is The Dirty Bird. Chicken fingers on waffles with bacon jam and cabbage slaw. Sounds strange, but absolutely delicious!!

Love this place! Locally sourced ingredients. Delicious buckwheat pancakes, and the sausage gravy was loaded with sausage and very tasty over the house made biscuits. Everything was great, including the service. My sister and I were camping at Lake Guntersville State Park and this jewel was worth the drive!

The food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly. The”Dirty Bird” is their take on chicken and waffles and it is really good. Their candied bacon-stuffed french toast is incredible. Biscuit and gravy is hard to beat, too. We try to go whenever we’re camping at Lake Guntersville State Park. Will definitely be back!
