First time here, we have eaten at many Chinese restaurants in Stoughton and Madison and I give this place 5 stars. The food was phenomenal and we had great service. Food was hot and fresh; we dined in. Dining room was clean. The crab Rangoon were completely filled, not those dry ones that have barely any filling and are mostly wonton in all the corners. We won’t go anywhere else now. My daughter who is pretty picky (she’s 11) loved all of our food and that is a first.

Expensive and just not good. White rice was dry and old, Hunan chicken had no flavor and vegetables were mushy and over cooked. Fried rice had no flavor had to add soy sauce to everything just to make palatable. General’s Tso had flavor but very mushy. Pork egg rolls, you could only taste the onion. Overall, very disappointed and will never be returning.
Cash only operation with a $2+ fee to use the ATM machine.
Takeout, restaurant appeared to be very clean, friendly service.

We had a takeout order of crab rangoons, orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The crab rangoons were the best part of the meal, they had a ton of filling with a light crab flavor. The egg roll that came with the orange chicken was okay, but I’ve had better. Both of the chicken options were horrible though. The chicken itself was of low quality to begin with, but the way it was prepared made it 10 times worse. It had the texture of chicken that had been cooked a day or two ago then reheated for WAY TOO LONG in the MICROWAVE. The chicken was hard, translucent and dry. It cut the roof of my mouth and made my jaw ache from trying to chew it. My husband said the orange chicken was just as bad!

The food was very good. Friends had the lunch buffet and I ordered vegetarian off the menu. There were lots of dessert options. I found the place to be very clean and the buffet price to be very reasonable. It was cash only so be prepared for that or there is an ATM

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Moonstar Chinese Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere that transported me straight to the heart of China.

The moment I sat down, I was immediately captivated by the delightful aroma of exotic spices that filled the air. The restaurant’s ambiance was beautifully designed, with elegant red lanterns hanging from the ceiling, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff, were incredibly attentive and eager to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu at Moonstar boasted an impressive array of dishes that spanned the rich tapestry of Chinese cuisine. From Szechuan spicy dishes to delicate dim sum, every dish presented to me was a work of art. The flavors were exquisitely balanced, with each bite offering a harmonious blend of spices and textures. The chefs at Moonstar clearly took great pride in their craft, as the presentation was nothing short of stunning!!

I’ve lived in this town for five years and finally decided to try this Chinese restaurant. This might be the worst Chinese food I’ve had in the Midwest. I ordered the chicken and broccoli, and my partner got sweet and sour chicken. The chicken in my dish was kind of fatty with a horrible texture. It was gristly, slimy, and rubbery. The broccoli and the brown sauce were good, so I just ate that.

The lady at at the register was so rude. She under eyed the whole she snatched my money from me and threw my change back in my hand. I ordered the General Tso chicken it was dry like it was sitting up long b4 I got there. The only thing that was good was the rice.

Not only does this page say it’s all you can eat but the sign that you can see from the road says and I quote “Buffet”. We took a different way home out of our way and after waiting in line we were matter-of-factly told that they only have the buffet at lunch. The sign is very deceptive and the staff was not even apologetic about the misinformation provided.
