Great chow. They have a spicy smoked cabbage that was great. They chop their pork and Turkey together and count it as one meat…awesome. They offer boudain as a meat also…I loved it. I docked them one star because they don’t have banana pudding. They have big collectors cups…thats cool too.

Excellent BBQ! Friendly staff and the flying pig is a must, they will put it on anything! A baked potato, make it into a sandwich or just plain. The jalepeno sausage is flavorful. The coleslaw balances out the sausage and the green beans are bomb!

So I found myself driving through Gilmer, TX late December and stumbled across this barbecue place. I went inside and of course inhaled the wonderful aroma of some good old vitamin Q! I was intrigued to see the young lady chopping and trimming just inches in front of you. But, I just hate to see the oh so tasty parts (fatty parts) go to waste! So I asked if I could have them. I took them home, froze then into blocks and froze them. I travel a lot so it took me a bit of time to get back to them. Well folks this is how you make a simple meal out of scraps! Easy recipe to do and it is oh so good. Thank you Dubya’s for the memorable experience and the oh so tasty food we will be back very soon! Much love.

Excellent service. Great down home atmosphere. BarBQue is delicious. Stuffed baked potato is unforgettable. Wednesday special of chicken wings will bring you back every Wednesday! This place is great and they appreciate your business. Love the cabbage and everything about this place.

Yummy BBQ that wasn’t greasy – easy on the tummy. They have pie … but my little human demanded a cookie. The pie looked amazing but the cookie was good. We ordered two combo lunch plates. They both had a good sized sandwich + drink + side. And everyone gets pinto beans! We left will full bellies and left overs for around $20. Quaint location that made for a good lunch stop.

This is the best bbq in gilmer! Me & my husband love it. The turkey is amazing & I’m not a big turkey person but this turkey is melt in your mouth with amazing flavor, my daughter gets the rib sandwich and they are very generous with portions and my husband loves the flying pig sandwich and likes the jalapeno cheese sausage. This place is a must try.

The Chopped beef was similar to Bodacious. I loved the smoked turkey, juicy and melts in your mouth. Love the mustard potato salad. I liked Bodacious beans better. Mac & cheese was good. Did not like that they only had diet Dr. Pepper, because I don’t like Dr. Pepper. They need to get diet Coke or diet Pepsi. Also liked Bodacious BBQ sauce better.

The ribs were tougher than I have ever had from there like they were rushed to be cooked. I only eat ribs up there because they are always so wonderful. I had family in from Austin and they could not even eat them. I was so embarrassed. Everyone else LOVED there food.

My Grandmother, Mother, Daughter and myself enjoyed lunch together here. The food was amazing. The portions are large. The owners are friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable. I definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
