My daughters and I are huge boba drink fans. We have been to this Gong Cha a few times. Gong Cha is a chain and we have been to the one in San Jose when we lived there and that one served great drinks. This Rockville store serves up the same great drinks plus they also have great mochi donuts. So far we have been here more for the mochi donuts than the drinks. Our favorite is the Ube one. The inside is very nice and there is a good amount of seating. The staff has always been friendly and efficient. So far the best one stop spot for great boba drinks+mochi donuts that we have found the Rockville+North Bethesda area.

Gong Cha is always a solid choice. The drinks are consistently good, the tea tastes fresh, and the boba is chewy every time. I love how customizable everything is so you can get it exactly how you like.

The staff is friendly and quick, and the place is always clean. Whether I’m craving a classic milk tea or a fruity drink, Gong Cha never misses. Definitely one of my go-to boba spots. Highly recommend hot black milk tea with Oreos.

I ordered 13 drinks at this store, and when I went to pick them up, they only put the drinks on 3 paper trays. I asked the staff if they could give me a bag, a female employee (probably a manager because of the different uniform) replied that 1 bag is 50 cents. I said okay I will pay, but she said that it is at least $5 for a card transaction. I felt uncomfortable with her unfriendly answer. I asked how I could carry all 13 drinks to the car, but she cut me off, so rude.

There is no option to buy extra bags when ordering online (I ordered through gongcha app), but I was willing to pay for it because I understand it’s county law, if she was willing to help customers, I was willing to buy 1 more drink and 2 bags, it’s only about $7-8, not a problem for me. My order was almost $90, I didn’t mind paying a few extra coins, but her attitude made me feel like she thought I wanted to cheat on some bubble tea bags (only $1 for 2). I would rather go in and out 3 times to get all the drinks to the car than deal with that rude girl.

I told this story to my brother, he said he ordered drinks from the silver spring branch, when he asked for a bag, they still happily gave it to him. There are so many bubble tea brands around Rockville so… you just lost 2 loyal customers from 2018 because of $1. Congrats!

My daughter’s favorite boba drink is the Dirty Brown Sugar latte w/ pearl, 30% ice, 50% sugar. She likes to add the star shaped peach jelly. I always recommend getting less sweet because the original sweetness is too sweet for us.

Boba drinks are getting more and more expensive though, so coming here is more of a special treat for the kids. The original egg waffle with vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and powder sugar is only $7.49 so it’s a good deal! 3 of us shared it and we were full.

This store is spacious and clean. It has regular table seating as well as floor seating on mats (which made my legs numb after a little, so we moved to the regular tables)

It’s very easy to order on the kiosk. You can open an account to collect points to get rewards if you come here regularly.

I think bubble teas taste different depending on who makes them. The service is what makes this store great. We ordered two bubble teas and a waffle cone but then did not grab the waffle cone by accident and left the store. I went back to the store to see if we can get the waffle cone but they had already refunded what we didn’t pick up! I appreciated their honesty .

Had the strawberry smoothie and brown sugar smoothie. They were not bad, but definitely more on the bland side taste-wise. Great place to hangout, there are plenty of tables available inside. But parking can be a little tricky especially during busy hours.

This is my new favorite shop!! I love their bobba. Personally, I’m addicted to the XL dirty brown sugar milk tea & peach lychee tea. I’m always doordashing the teas from this location, it is that good!!

Whoever was making bubble tea tonight, go home. We got taro and winter melon bubble tea. Tasted nothing like it. Both drinks tasted like they were watered down instantly. Other bubble tea places def hit better. Also, paper straws suck. It’s like tasting a toilet paper roll

Don’t waste your money. The boba is horrible. I ordered the dirty brown sugar coffee milk tea, tasted like warm chocolate milk. The pearls they don’t soak in honey so they have no taste. $10 for something that tasted like a $2 Yoo-hoo!

I was never disappointed with what we ordered here for the first time – strawberry smoothie with creme brulee foam! So good! Also, the ambience inside is nice, they have an area where you can sit on the floor.
