I have to say, these are some insane meat pies. The pepper steak pie was so well seasoned, and had that nice peppery taste. The chicken pie was also very well seasoned, almost like a curry. Both pies were stuffed to the brim, and mostly meat.
The chicken samosa was ok, but honestly the spices over powered the chicken flavor there so it just tasted like a veggie samosa.
They literally prepare each pie from scratch. You can watch them put in the finishing touches yourself, but expect to wait 15 to 20 minutes. Love the mini pastrt initial they put on each pie so you now which pie is which.
The Steak & Mushroom pie from 2 Phat Bastard Pies is an absolute beast: handmade to order, piping hot, overflowing with filling, and ridiculously good. Found it during a 3-hour Amtrak layover at POST Market Hall in Houston and wow… what a discovery.
At $12, it’s a steal—easily a $20+ pie back in Brooklyn. Fresh out of the oven, hearty, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. This is comfort food done right. Would 100% go back.
“Always blow on the pie – safer communities together”
Had to get some for the wife to try so I got the saag paneer pie and the beef and mushroom pie. Both were flavorful and amazing. They traveled exceptionally well, just pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes.
The pies are dare I say, perfect. I HIGHLY recommend. It is truly food to travel for. Keep it up guys!
