Tasty Szechuan in Concord is an excellent spot for flavorful and authentic food. The variety on the menu is amazing, and everything we tried was delicious. My favorite dish was the dry pot, which had great spice and depth of flavor, while the fried chicken was very unique and worth ordering again. I also highly recommend the green beans and eggplant, both cooked perfectly. The interior is clean and modern, giving the restaurant a nice, comfortable feel. Service was a little slow, but it was understandable since they were busy. Overall, a great experience and an easy five stars.

Tasty Szechuan is one of the better Sichuan-style restaurants in the East Bay north of Fremont. The service is friendly, and there are a few dishes we enjoy. In particular, the stir-fried garlic scapes with cured pork (蒜苔炒腊肉) and the mala beef (麻辣牛肉) stood out. The mala beef is a newer dish on the menu—flavorful, though a bit chewy. Overall, this is a place we visit fairly often, mainly because of its convenient location.

Pretty decent Szechuan-style restaurant with the options of American-Chinese. Very friendly staff and a vibe of family-owned business.

The “water-boiled fish” was delicious with great portion and the seasoning was on the spot.

The”dried hot pot”, on the other hand, was being outshined. The pork ribs taste like they came straight out from the freezer and cooked in a pressure cooker, with no base seasoning to cover the hint of the freezer smell, and soulless texture of the meat. The intestine could use some more cleaning to get rid of the unpleasant taste. And the beef, and altogether the whole pot, were over-powered with cumin. I ended up rinsing them in the water boiled fish broth to make them taste ok.

With the excellent reviews here, I came in with high expectation. Not only the food was 50% disappointing, the tables were also cramped. That being said, I’d give them the benefit of doubt, especially with the hospitable service, and hence the 4 stars. It could be a passable Chinese restaurant if you live nearby, and if you’re not chasing for authenticity.

Wow the food was absolutely delicious. We usually go to Z&Y and Chengdu (Berkeley) but this spot was phenomenal and more flavorful.

Food was good, as were the portions. Service was terrible. Called in an order and received a text saying it would be ready for pick up at 6:30pm. Got there at 6:30 and waited in a very large crowd. Servers were brisk and rude. Order was handed to me at 7:40pm!!

On my last night in San Francisco we decided to go out for Chinese food. One of my cousins recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The place was not busy, except for a large party and a couple of smaller tables. Which was understandable as it was a cold Monday night.
We ordered Hot and Sour soup for all 5 of us, Fried Rice, Cumin Lamb, General Tso’s Chicken and Black Pepper Shrimp.
The soup was delicious and came in a huge bowl…more than enough for 8-9 people.
We enjoyed all the dishes, including the cumin lamb. This dish is different from what I’ve had at PF Changs. Not as good as PF Changs, but interesting.
Service was quick and efficient and very friendly. The only thing I found odd was they bring everything together. We expected to have soup first and then rice and protein. But first came the Chicken, then the soup, shrimp etc and finally the rice. Oh well. It was okay. We managed. I’d definitely go back again. It’s been a long time since I’ve had good Chinese food.

I was surprised to find a delicious Chinese restaurant in Concord, especially Szechuan cuisine. Of course, the menu also has American Chinese food ,lol

It was Chinese New Year and they had a Chinese New Year set menu with bork belly & whole fish. But because my father liked their fried rice noodles, we chose to order all single dish .

Rice noodles was very testy , beef , chicken and giant shrimp, noodles texture is there with good flavor.

Dancing shrimp also is good , with garlic on top , glasses noodles under .

Szechuan is famous for spicy.
But we can’t eat spicy food, server was very nice and said we could make it non-spicy.

Will return again absolutely. I think here will become my father food togo favorite.

Easy parking , clean , good service , good price , delicious food .
