The atmosphere at Saltine Warrior was awesome from the moment we walked in. John has so much positive energy. We asked if the F1 race could be broadcasted (as all were broadcasting football) and without hesitation, we were told to pick a TV and it would be changed for us.
Our wings were delicious and there was a good selection of local beers.
It was clear that the patrons present felt at home and like family. John made us feel like we were regulars.
Will definitely be back!!!

Reviews are a moment in time which is why I don’t typically write them but this experience deserves on. Great bar tender. Very friendly and hard working. There were only about 15 people there who ordered food. Slow is an understatement. A few people ended up taking food to go. I never got the food I ordered so the bar tender gave a refunded. She was not happy with the cooks. Would recommend eating before you go.

Went in here for a pint, nothing special just waiting to go to the Landmark Theatre down the road a tick. It was absolutely dead in there but they had sports on every screen which is alright in my book. I’d give em another try during a busy sports night as I’m sure the atmosphere is electric as a sports town. *I didn’t try any kibble as we had just eaten at Poundtown a few doors down so I can’t speak to the food here.

Stopped by after a Syracuse basketball game. Quick service, good drinks, and some of the best wings I’ve had in years! The service was also out of this world

Awesome spot downtown ‘Cuse for sports fans. John, the owner, is usually on premise and makes you feel right at home. Bartenders are great, playoff sports + good wings = Head to Saltine

Also, trivia on Wednesday nights. So much fun

Best wings in all of upstate New York. Service was awesome! Super friendly bartenders and a great five. Wonderful selection of cocktails. Yes the pizza is really good as well. If you’re in Syracuse you have to stop here and eat and drink.

I went here for the Camping World Bowl Game, two words, never again. The bar staff ignored us to babble with friends. At some points they would walk by without so much as a look. The food although palatable took forever. We ordered wings and fries, only to wait almost half an hour for it to arrive in stages. When you order its expected to arrive at the same time. Yet our wings came out 10 at a time, with fries in between. The fries were greasy and cold, indicating after payment was received our food just sat in the window. The beer prices average four bucks domestic, or a bucket of five for five or six, depending on the bartender? Not really advertised, as the bartenders just want to take your money. There are many better bars downtown Syracuse, this is a hard pass…
