Food was excellent. I had the catfish, it was perfect. Thick beautiful meat, very clean and cornmeal was made from scratch. Was very impressed the tartar sauce was made from scratch too . My husband had the patty melt and he said it was great. Finally found a place we both love close to home. Owner is from New Orleans and you can tell by his cooking . Grew up in Houston so I love Cajun food. Can’t wait to try the red beans and rice, also chicken fried steak. Keep u posted. Y’all definitely need to try this place. Closed Sunday and Monday. Open Tuesday – Saturday 8:30-7. Great prices too. Went back again had the chicken fried steak

Food is good and service is good.
Atmosphere can be more warmer and welcoming in my opinion.
It’s to bright and cold looking, I would like to see more plants real or fake just greenery in general.
Darken the room some, Add some nice table cloths, with Candle on the tables .

This place has all the down-home, country charm you could ask for, with great sweet tea, outstanding atmosphere, and food that will make you eager to try the entire menu.
The service was great and the prices were beyond reasonable. Pro tip: GET DESSERT.

Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve rode past this place, or came into the store to purchase things. Today was my first time trying it… they definitely made a return customer out of me! For the price I paid the amount of food was worth it, I recommend a double meat cheeseburger and fries… the fries are a hit just by themselves…the burger added, is a CLASSIC dont shy away.. im sure the rest of the menu is great aswell!

Great shrimp. 8 per order and fresh. Shrimp were a good size. Felt I got my money’s worth. Will definitely be going back as I am not happy with the local place. Although I got 1 catfish filet and it tasted fishy. Had to use a lot of salt on it.

Biscuits and gravy were rather bland, and the biscuits tasted super floury.
Breakfast taco was okay, but weird due to the fried egg in it.
Chicken fried steak was tasty, but we found a piece of metal (from something like a scrubbing pad) in it.
We might try again.

EVERYTHING we ordered was good to the last drop. OMG it was seasoned to perfection. The owner and his family were so kind. We laughed and talked about the food. If you are looking for good New Orleans style eating…this is the place to visit. The seafood taste like it was fresh out the water, not packaged or processed.

The owners came out and met me and my brother for his birthday and also gave him free dessert. They were so sweet and the food was absolutely delicious and the portions are out of this world. Thank you all for a wonderful time.!!!
