We had an excellent experience at House of Buddha for lunch! When we walked in, we were greeted and quickly seated in a booth.
Started off with the Hot and Sour Soup, egg rolls and spring rolls. All were really good so our expectations grew for the entrees.
The mains we ordered were:
Cantonese Chow Mein, Vegetable Chop Suey, Black Pepper Beef, General Tao Chicken.
Everything came out very hot and tasted extremely good and fresh.
Overall, the food and service were absolutely amazing!
We will definitely be back soon when in the Georgetown Area.

House of Buddah used to be the best Chinese food restaurant in Georgetown. Sadly, the quality of the food has plummeted We placed a take-out order of lemon shrimp, spring rolls, braised bean curd and rice. After ordering, the braised bean curd was replaced by chop suey, as they were out of bean curd. The shrimp came riddled with digestive tracts, which was extremely off-putting. The spring rolls seem to have been made in house, which could great, but in fact, were greasy sheets of phyllo stuffed with large chunks of celery, and other veg. It is extremely disappointing to pay good money, and end up with not just sub-standard, but almost inedible food.

The combos were perfectly fine fare. It tasted as I’d expected. The chx wings were amazing…love these!!! But the PadThai was not tasty. Felt like it was doused with watered down siracha and had and different scent than the usual PadThai from anywhere else. Will go again for Combos but maybe be more selective with other options.

There was dirt in my food. I called and they didn’t believe me when I told them – “that’s not possible”. They finally agreed reluctantly to make it again for me after carefully scrutinizing the food and asking “where’s the dirt”? Poor customer service. Cantonese Chow Mein.

OMG…Georgetown. ..the House of Budha is back!. Jimmy the Chef cooked us an amazing meal. Lee was an amazing Hostess! Spring rolls light and crispy…Rice Vermicelli Singapore style incredible…we asked a wee bit more spice. Beef and cashew nuts well balanced with small cut fresh veg and lots of protein and cashews. Lemon Chicken beautifully done tempora style with a light lemon sauce, We cannot wait to go back with friends!
