Outstanding food and service at this very cool rooftop eatery. Great for anytime of year and the food is some of the best of not the best you will ever have in Mystic. So, come enjoy and do not miss out! I had the mushroom tart, butternut squash soup, charcuterie platter, tuna nicoise and a delish blood orange drink. Everything was amazing!!

Since we had a fantastic experience at Mix on a previous trip to Mystic, my husband and I knew we had to return when we were in the area again. Mix Restaurant & Rooftop Bar does not disappoint! We love that they offer a really creative menu – everything is locally sourced and incredibly fresh. The crispy pork ribs were addictive, the squash soup with apple salad hit the mark as a seasonal combo, and the grilled swordfish was cooked perfectly. You truly can’t go wrong with any of Adam’s desserts but no matter how full you are, you’ll make room for an Adam T. Young bonbon – they’re irresistible! With a really inviting atmosphere and attentive service, this is the perfect spot for date nights, celebrations, or catching up with friends. Already planning our next visit!

Had an excellent dinner at Mix last night with friends. Cocktails were inspired and yummy and food was excellent. I loved the scallops and my husband said the pork 2 ways was one of the best meals he’s had in a while. Desserts were, of course, artfully presented and just as delicious as they were beautiful. We weren’t rushed out, and the ambiance can’t be beat! We’ll be back.

We celebrated my birthday this past Saturday at Mix. And may I just say it was the most memorable experience ever. The food was exquisite. The presentation was just divine and the service was absolutely amazing. Britney made us feel like we were family and of course Adam was outstanding with all the care and effort that went into our dinner and my most beautiful cake. It was an experience that I will treasure it forever. In fact, I can’t wait to come back down again, thank you. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Mix was a wonderful choice for the 4th of July dinner. The upper seating area is new and open. Service was friendly and responsive and the food was above and beyond. The bread basket starter had a wonderful assortment of goodies featuring a nice balance of salty and savory options. The lobster with gnocchi was also a delight. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Loved sitting at the fireside table. The atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat and the food was really good. I got the hazelnut crusted goat cheese fritters that came with a beet salad, the crispy pork ribs, and a passionfruit margarita. The ribs were incredibly satisfying cuz they were so juicy and flavorful! And I usually hate beets but the goat cheese fritters with the tartar sauce complimented the beet salad very well! The margarita wasn’t as sweet as I’m used to but it was still really good.
One of my chef’s from culinary class said “you know the food is good when no one is talking” and I’m reminded of that every time I’m sitting with friends and we’re all zoned in to our food. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be going again!

We were late for our reservation due to trouble finding parking, and they were very understanding. The food was absolutely phenomenal as were the drinks. Our waitress was great and helped us with any questions we had. The only suggestion I have is to maybe put some hooks under the counter seating for purses? There isn’t a lot of room at the counter space. It is a great spot though!

MIX above Sift Bakery
I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Mix Restaurant and Rooftop Bar which is located above the world famous Sift Bake Shop in Mystic Connecticut. First of all, I did not know this place existed and when I went to dinner there with friend on the spur of the moment it was a pleasant surprise to get in. The outdoor atmosphere, the view and attentive staff were all great. Our waitress, Riley took very good care of us. One in a party got a signature cocktail which was delicious. One of our appetizers was the Crispy Pork Ribs that were cooked perfectly. I was expecting 3 ribs and we got 6. Our other appetizer was the Heirloom Tomato Salad. It was also superb and plentiful. We ordered a variety of great entrees that included the Coriander Crusted Tuna, Seared Stonnington Scallops and Short Rib Rigatoni. The Tuna included a delightful pepper jam with an olive oil infused poached potatoes, baby fennel, bok choi which served under a bed of water cress salad. The Seared Scallops was served on a bed of risotto with summer succotash and grilled corn and the Short Rib Rotini included Parmesan Crisps as an added treat. The combination of ingredients and flavors on this menu seemed very different from any other restaurant in the area which makes this restaurant “a must” to check out. You will not be disappointed. At the end of our dining experience, we treated ourselves to one dessert- the Coconut Exotic Fruit, which I found superb. It was combination of coconut panna cotta, mango sorbet and passion fruit curd. It was delicious. My only comment was that I would have added some toasted coconut shavings. However the combination of textures and flavors and serving presentation was definitely a masterpiece. Our consensus rating for the dining experience was 4.85 stars which is rounded up to 5 star. One more thing, at the end of dinner, our waitress, Riley came by and offered each of us one of their signature chocolates as an added treat. I highly recommend this place as a nice casual dinner experience in a relaxing atmosphere.

Recently went to the renovated Mix and was so impressed! Our server was so great & friendly. Everything from the bread & spreads, to the goat cheese fritters, the steak, Gene’s Dream dessert, and the delicious cocktails were all amazing! A beautiful summer spot and even happier that it’s year round as well now. We will definitely be back!
