When Pagliacci first began its delivery service, deliveries were taken out of the Queen Anne Pizzeria. When the demand for pizza grew we searched for a new spot. The Valley Street Delivery Kitchen opened on September 27, 1995, transforming the Civic Center Motel from a property dominated by drug and prostitution activity into a hub of pizza and hope. The site was reportedly one of the first motor hotels in Seattle during the 1950s. With renovation, one two-story building was converted into a delivery kitchen giving lots of room for cooks to toss dough. The second building became Valley House, a transitional housing project developed by our founder, Dorene Centioli-McTigue. The store also offers beer and wine for take out and delivery!

Pizza is delicious with great flavor combinations. I love the perfect thin crust. Prices are reasonable by Seattle’s standards and service is fast and friendly. One of my pick up orders was wrong and they quickly went above and beyond to make it right. Can’t wait to try the whole menu.

My son got this pizza and I thought it was ‘ok’ and ‘passable’, it was ‘eatable’, but I wasn’t in love with it. It was fine. It was pizza. And I like pizza in general. You know what was not fine? The price. Incredibly expensive. If I remember correctly, he said it was $40. I am not sure if he purposely ordered it without tomato sauce or not, but the pizza didn’t have any tomato sauce. I like pizza and I would eat again, but only if it had tomato sauce, AND if it wasn’t $40. If it’s $40, forget about it. Unless he already prepaid it and I found the pizza at home.

Food is good but ordering for pick up from this location has been really bad. The app says ready for pick up but when you get there they say it’s not done. In one case, it hadn’t even been made and I waited more than 30min at the location. It’s too bad. I like their pizza.

Atmosphere rating shouldn’t really count for a pickup/delivery location but since its there and we needed to eat in the location before hitting the road to leave seattle, I’ll rate it. For a small pickup/carryout/delivery location, they did their best to make it welcoming. There were cute holiday decorations and a small seating area, some cool movie posters and the art on the packaging is super fun and well done! But what we really want to talk about is the quality of the food and the service! The folks who helped us were friendly and made our pizzas fast, and the pizzas themselves were phenomenal. The crust is SO good. The toppings were excellent quality. An extremely enjoyable pizza experience prepare to get what you pay for here.

I’m visiting and needed a quick dinner delivered. I generally don’t like pizza and am lactose intolerant so when I saw that they had vegan cheese I thought I’d give it a try. I got the Rocket and added tomatoes. That pizza is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The crust was perfectly crispy, the prosciutto was very high quality, it was just perfect! Delivery was in half the time estimated and they were very careful during the pandemic. Just WOW.

Pagliacci is far from my favorite pizza in Seattle, but they treat their employees well and it’s a reliable place to get a hot slice. The biggest issue is that it’s more expensive than a lot of nearby pizza options but isn’t quite good enough to justify it. This is mostly forgivable if you’re just getting a couple slices, but if you’re ordering a whole pie, especially with delivery, the price tag can be shocking.
