Captain’s Creamery is a real treat, Brian makes the ice-cream on site and it is very delicious. Lots of flavours to choose from and different size cups as well.
The ice-cream is perfect! We are visiting from England and there are five of us so everyone ordered different flavours. I really recommend the Red Velvet Cheesecake and the Vanilla ice-cream but my son said the Ship wreck flavour was the best. The store itself is very clean and there are tables and chairs to sit in.
Some vibrant custom Art work on the walls too which really compliment the setting. Thanks Brian for the great customer service and friendly environment.

Tasty, homemade ice cream served with a smile. The treats at Captain’s Creamery were so good. They have tons of flavors featuring several of their own creations like Ship Wreck and Salty Sea. The waffle cones are made fresh, and the portions are generous. It is in a great location considering there are other eateries within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and tidy.

Absolutely love this place, by far the best icecream in the area! Always greeted with a smile and very courteous staff and ownership. The icecream always tastes fresh, great portions and clean ingredients. This is where I bring all my friends and family if we’re looking for a treat!

Love this place! Hands down the best ice cream around. If you’re one of those sad, miserable people who complain the scoops are too big and think that more ice cream is somehow a bad thing—this place may not be for you. But if you want ice cream that’s worth every drip, amazing customer service, and boozy ice creams to take home (amazing!), Captains Creamery is unbeatable.

This was by far the best real ice cream that I have tried in US! The last time I had something similar was in Switzerland. The owner and the girls greet you with a smile, very friendly, answer questions and offer to try the flavors. All flavors are very good! Definitely going to come back as it is the favorite place for ice cream for us!

I started going here when I was pregnant. Nothing beats ice cream when you’re pregnant but captains ice cream is the best of the best, the very best. We can’t even go to Publix without stopping there because the kiddo can smell the waffle cones from the street and asks for ice cream. When family comes to visit we go to captains. We go to captains if it’s a bad day, good day, a day for celebrating, honestly any reason I could have to go there we will. Not only is the entire family so kind but the scoops are well worth it, generous sized scoops! Seriously, top tier establishment that is family owned by such kind people.

Editing this because i’ve tried more than 5 ice cream places in Port charlotte (no judgement please) and they still remain one of the best. Theo only thing im disappointed about is the scoop size, multiple times. I wish the scoops were rolled correctly
