Huge fan of the spring rolls. Both the shrimp and the chicken ones. Pho was phenomenally made and a masterful serving size. Come hungry! Leave happy bellied!
Tidbit: the ginger tonic tea… superb. Seriously some of the best I’ve had. Ask for the pot, not just a cup. Add honey for more sweetness if you’d like. I seriously was obsessed with this tea!!
The King cake (5/5) was lovely – flaky with a crossiant like crust/dough and a lovely cinnamon cream cheese filling that was cheesy and filling. Genuinely one of the best ones I’ve had out of the 8+ I’ve tried.
The Oyster Bahn Mi (3/5) had food flavor but almost all the oysters had an extremely inedible chewy portion and the carrot daikon slaw wasn’t seasoned. The bread is also okay (a bit hard to chew) but the flavors of the sauce and black lemon were very good – shame.
Beignets (3/5) were good but very dense inside and a few of them were burnt.
For the price and the ambiance (you serve yourself), I guess its okay. There’s mostly outdoor seating.
The fried shrimp banh mi was really good here. Never had that style before, and I liked it. A lot of different textured and great flavors. The chili oil wontons were good too.
The cafe is really cute and a nice place for a date or to hang out with friends. The patio is charming and shaded so great for any day.
My sample at this quaint Cafe was prepared and presented and to my delight I tasted a new unique Beignet. Smaller and fluffy with large airy pastry pockets with an almost custard texture melt in your mouth delicious moment to begin and end my daily Beignet hunt when in New Orleans while singing Karaoke at the Cat’s Meow for our Christmas Holiday
Dirty matcha one of the best balanced drinks I’ve had – I’ll be dreaming about it. Chicken Laap we loved and the shrimp in the rice shrimp bowl was amazing!
Not pictured – egg bahn mi and chicken bahn mi that were good – bread amazing but would go back for the rice dishes. Note rice is a bit like sticky rice – not traditional fluffy which I still really enjoyed
