A Sweet Retreat is one of the best bakery’s I’ve been to. You couldn’t ask for nicer, friendly people. We bought several things including a red velvet cake. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The scrap cups are just heaven!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience and we will be back!!!

I ordered cupcakes from Sweet Retreat for a coworkers birthday. I hit them on the Service stars only because I initiated conversation through the website and the response came through rather snarky. Each person I spoke to on the phone or in the store were quite pleasant so perhaps they just need to rewrite their electronic responses.
I requested a variety of cupcakes. I discussed with the shop via phone and after a quick discussion I left the flavor options up to the baker. She did a phenomenal job providing many unique cupcakes and frosting flavors. Everyone that participated in the birthday celebration were quite impressed with the taste and over all aesthetics of the desserts.
Will definitely visit here again.

Disappointing. I visited about 10:30 in the morning hoping to get freshly baked cupcakes to share with my mom on her birthday. They were featuring a pretty Banana Split cupcake, so I took two. The cake was so dry and the icing was just sugary with no flavor. We both took a couple of bites to celebrate, but the rest went in the trash. I love to support small local businesses, but this was such a disappointment.

During a recent visit to town to see family, I had the pleasure of stopping by Bess’s bakery. I purchased a variety of treats including cupcakes, sandwich cookies, macarons, and cake slices. Truthfully, everything tasted absolutely delightful. Not only was the presentation of the baked goods impressive, but the hospitality was equally outstanding.
Both Bess and the cashier made the experience memorable. The cashier was extremely friendly, patient, and informative, answering all our questions with a smile. Bess herself came out from the back to chat with my daughter, offering encouragement and advice on baking. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression.
It was definitely an experience and taste that my daughter and I won’t soon forget. I highly recommend Bess’s bakery to anyone in the area looking for delicious treats and wonderful service.

I ordered a baby shower cake from her and gave her free rein for a Dinosaur theme. It turned out so cute and tasted amazing. We also ordered cupcakes and they also were fantastic! Highly recommend.

Horrible customer service. And the cupcakes are old and stale. Waste of money. Shop anywhere but here. She always defends her kids as she should but their customer service is awful. I walked in, he never acknowledged me and went to the back while I’m standing there trying to order. I waited 10 minutes he came back out and said what do you want? I bought 2 cupcakes and they were old and stale. Never recommend this place. Customer service is awful
