Village Ice Cream & Candies on Emerald Isle is such a treat – truly an experience in itself. Their ice cream selection is amazing, and their candy selection is unmatched. It’s the kind of place where both kids and adults light up the moment they walk through the door. Their neighboring shop, Village Beach Mart, has some of the coziest Emerald Isle tees you’ll find anywhere.
Whether you’re visiting the island or you’re a local looking for a treat, I can’t recommend them enough. The staff is always kind, always working hard, and it shows! The family puts their whole heart into their businesses, and it’s felt in every detail!

Can’t say enough good things about the people here! Super helpful and offered samples of any of the taffy we wanted to try! All the sweets they have are amazing and the ice cream was very good as well! Will definitely be back next time.

As long as we’ve lived in the area, we’ve never had a chance to stop it. Decided to take my kids here after a beach trip and let me tell you, it was the best! The ice cream was great and so many choices! We also got the Dubai strawberries, delicious! But the best part… the girl working there. Super nice and patient (I’m super indecisive) and she was really sweet to my kids. We will definitely be back!

Visited for the first time tonight and it was great! Easy walk from the house we are renting. We just beat the rush. So many choices. Friendly service who were patient with our kids trying to decide on flavors. Nice sitting area outside to enjoy the evening while eating. Highly recommend!

You should probably update your hours…and that’s a lot to assume from behind a glass door where we were treated unprofessionally and not informed of the wrong hours that you have posted on your Google page in a courteous way. I would check your Sunday hours. Professional mannerism is something that goes a long way in the business space and it seems there is no rein on that idea here. The product a business puts out is not only the tangible item, but the experience given to the customer. Judging by the rest of your reviews and your responses, it is clear that you are only active because of the tourist and not the product you provide.

We were thrilled to find this cute little store after searching aimlessly for ice cream around the area. They had lots of candy too – treats for days! I had the carmel and pretzel ice cream in a waffle cone dipped in peanuts. Take about a fabulous treat.
Very clean store, and friendly and quick staff. Recommend stopping by and enjoying your treat sitting in the rocking chairs out front.

We have come here for many years and the little shop is cute with lots of options, but most recently, it was OVERRUN with customers. I felt bad for the people working – lots of them are young people and that kind of chaos can be very demanding for them. The line snaked and curled around the store… it took probably 45 mins to get our ice cream and unfortunately, because of the amount of people and the heat outside, the ice cream was extremely melted (or melted by the time we got to the table outside). It was running down our hands and turned to soup in our bowls. The ice cream itself is very good and I love the waffle cones! Prices are high, but I recommend the waffle cone as you seem to get more quantity for the dollar than just ordering a cup of ice cream. Would definitely recommend this place, but not on a busy night. Try to find a time of evening where the line isn’t so long and I think you’d be happier with the consistency of the ice cream. Reading reviews it’s definitely a town favorite. I don’t like how the owner responds with some attitude sometimes to negative reviews, as I think critiques can only make a business stronger. So that’s the only reason I’d hesitate to frequent a business (if the owner doesn’t seem open to feedback) but I hope she treats her employees amazing, because they are some really hardworking teens!
