My first visit I bought their combination bowl. It was almost enough food for two meals. Be warned, it can be kind of hectic in there on a Saturday night. I was craving their food again so I returned a week later. My second visit, I bought the pork fried rice from their special orders menu, the 16 oz broccoli beef and 1 order of sesame balls. Total came up to $31 and was enough to feed two adults and a toddler, with some rice left over. The pork fried rice was made with Jasmine rice and the most delicious umami savory pork. The broccoli beef was perfectly cooked with tender not chewy beef. Sesame balls were nice and soft. One recommendation for the restaurant would be to offer one or two vegetarian entrees. This place has extremely limited vegetarian options.

So happy to have found this spot. We were craving Chinese food and this was nearby and highly rated. Didn’t disappoint! We got a family combo and loved everything! Super nice people and generous portions with reasonable pricing! Will definitely come back.

Came here on a Saturday evening at 5pm because local reviews indicate that this is an “authentic Chinese” takeout restaurant. I was craving for some authentic Sichuan hot and sour soup or beef fried noodles, but was met with American food mostly based on chicken as protein. There was a lot of orange chicken and mushroom and chicken, which compared directly with Panda Express, tastes much healthier. The fried rice was fresh, but when I wanted to get pork eggrolls, I was met with only chicken eggrolls. Not sure if this place is typically a chicken only place since chicken was all that was offered on this day.
Food was okay if you’re craving for Panda Express-type American food but live in Felida, but if you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, you’d have to go elsewhere.
The chef does speak proper Cantonese but I can understand why the flavors were tailored for the locals. While waiting for the eggrolls to fry, all the customers that came in were predominantly white.

We were looking for Chinese food in Vancouver and this place had the best rating and after going there I can see why. The food was delicious! They offer samples of the different options and everything we sampled was great. Even better was you can get a combination plate with 3 different entrees so you don’t even have to commit to just one! It’s a family owned business and they are so nice and seem like great people. We will definitely be coming here every time we are in the mood for Chinese food.

Mar’s Cuisine is a hidden gem! This is exactly what I imagine when I think of Chinese food! The food is spectacular, the portions are extremely generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the service was friendly, helpful, and prompt!
The basic setup is similar to Panda Express, where you can order a combo with 1, 2, or 3 entree with a side, but that is where the comparison ends.
Mar’s food is not generic, bland, industrial food. It is authentic and genuine; cooked and served with love and care.
I ordered several options from the menu and enjoyed everything I tried. I especially enjoyed the egg rolls and beef with broccoli. Simple dishes, done well are a good test of any restaurant and Mar’s Cuisine passed with flying colors.
Regarding ambience, there is no seating or dine in options. It’s takeout only, but the food to go is packaged extremely well and served hot and fresh.
Ordering multiple dishes and eating family style would be my recommendation.

Regulars for years! They are happy to make you anything you want in a jiffy! The lemon chicken is the best best best! The family meal does really well for a family 4-6. I love this family

So the rumors are all true of this legendary Malaysian Chinese food place. Its take out only for now, but the food is dynamite. The owner Mar, is the last of families legacy to make the amazing food and he is truly a nice guy. We ordered the Pineapple Chicken which was extraordinary, and he made the Orange chicken fresh with real orange slices and it tasted authentic. This place is completely underated and I suspect it won’t stay a secret much longer. This place is the real deal, and I will be back for sure.
