Visiting town and wanted to find great tacos. This place did not disappoint! I got the birria tacos and they were amazing. Great flavor and cooked perfectly. My fiancé got the street tacos and they were delicious as well. Would definitely recommend!

I’ve had my fair share of street tacos (and even make my own at home), but this place legit has some of the best flavors I’ve tasted. Usually you have to load up on salsa or add salt just to enhance the meat not here. You order them exactly as they come! The salsa is absolutely delicious, and the corn tortillas taste so authentic and fresh. And when I saw they had a salad of nopales (aka cactus), I about died thank me later and look up the nutritional benefits! It perfectly complements the tacos. 10/10. If you’re in Kerrville, GO. If you’re not, take the drive its worth it!

My favorite place for breakfast tacos. The refried beans actually have flavor to them unlike a lot of restaurants atound kerrville. We went through the drive through this morning, but went to sit down outside after getting our food, and changing our mind. I didn’t catch his name, but we were brought waters to our table. Small gesture, yet was appreciated that they took the time to do so. Thank you!

Some of the best tacos I’ve had, and me and the honey travel quite often so it’s a bold statement to make! The food was outstanding and the staff was just as great at recommending their favorites. Definitely stopping by when we are in the area again!

I’m leaving this review in good faith and hope it’s taken as constructive feedback.
Before heading back to my hometown, I decided to have breakfast at Machetes. We ordered the tres leches French toast, two barbacoa tacos, one bistec taco, and two aguas de horchata.
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The barbacoa was very salty and lacked depth of flavor. The bistec had very little seasoning and was a bit tough. The tres leches French toast did not taste like tres leches at all, and it had an off flavor. There was also a piece of cilantro and what appeared to be a pepper on the toast, which made me question whether the cooking surface had been properly cleaned between dishes.
Lastly, the horchata did not taste like traditional horchata. I understand that many restaurants use concentrates or mixes, but the flavor was noticeably off.
I truly hope this feedback helps, as I was looking forward to enjoying a good breakfast before leaving town.

The smothered burrito and mini tacos were amazing! The restaurant is always clean and their salsa bar is soooo good. This is my new favorite spot.

Came to Kerrville on business and saw this place so decided to try it. Very glad I did. Got the Green Chicken breakfast bowl (even though it was 11:10 and breakfast ended at 10:50, they still accommodated) to go. Simply delicious. The bowl was brimming with plenty of chunks of tender white meat chicken, large pieces of potato and corn swimming in a green tomatillo sauce. The flavor was on point, it didn’t need anything else. It was served with three sauces (green and two red, medium/hot), two homemade flour tortillas (corn available), and a foil wrapped package of chopped red onions and cilantro on the side. All for $11.00. I don’t know why anyone would choose Taco Bell next door over this. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

We had 1 taco al pastor, 1 cheese and bean taco and 2 barbacoa tacos. The al pastor was good, but the barbacoa ones were so salty that we couldn’t eat them. The cheese and beans one was good too. The plates came with cucumbers, grilled onions and a potato. The service was great but the food was meh.

I paid $15 for 4 tacos and a had ordered a large horchata. I looks like they only had one size cup. Did not like the food. I ordered 3 bean and cheese tacos and 1 chorizo n egg w cheese taco. And the “beans” tasted like the enchilada sauce and not real beans.

Like what is that. Thats not beans its enchilada sauce. Im honestly not happy about this taste. I was really looking forward to trying them and hoping they’d beat marys or ritas but its the other way around. High prices too. Just sucked
