Stopped into NK Chicago Pizza thanks to Food Fights’ “Lord of the Pies,” and the place immediately gives off a fun, quirky vibe. The comic-themed décor and clean, comfortable dining room make it an easy spot to hang out for a bit. Counter service was quick, friendly, and efficient—exactly what you want when you’re grabbing something to go.

I ordered a small sausage pizza for takeout. It falls into what I’d call classic “football style pizza”. Hearty, straightforward, and built to feed a crowd. Not exactly my personal go-to style, but it definitely serves its purpose and will hit the spot for plenty of folks.

That said, I’m really intrigued by their Chicago-style menu. The deep-dish is what they’re known for, and I’d absolutely come back to try the real deal next time.

Overall: solid stop, friendly service, and worth a return visit to explore what they do best.

NK Chicago Pizza sits in a strip mall off Post Road in North Kingstown, and walking in, you can tell someone put a lot of thought into the vibes. Comic book murals run along the walls. Chicago Bulls imagery mixed with Looney Tunes in bright street art colors. Teal chairs, wooden tables, pop culture stuff alongside sports memorabilia. It’s not trying to be fancy. It’s just trying to be somewhere people want to sit for a while and enjoy some food and community, and it works.
Melynda is at the counter and she is good at what she does. Friendly, helpful, attentive and makes you feel like a local, even when you aren’t. The shop was busy the whole time we were there. People coming in for takeout, families sitting down to eat. You can see this is a neighborhood spot. The kind of place that becomes part of the routine for families and friends all around the area.
We got two of their medium thick crust pizzas. Cheese and pepperoni. They came out looking solid, filling, dense.
Their style is a cheese heavy flavor, which is how a lot of places approach it. I prefer a sauce forward pie. But there were some pockets of sauce breaking through here and there. The pepperoni had a crunch to it, which added something texturally. The crust held everything together fine but didn’t bring much flavor on its own. This is a straightforward neighborhood pizza. Nothing wrong with that at all. Nothing that makes you stop and think about it either.
NK Chicago works because of what’s around the pizza. The service is legitimately good. The atmosphere has personality. People clearly like being there, and you can see why. It’s comfortable. It’s welcoming. Melynda makes sure of that.
The pizza itself is good. It’s a solid local pizza that gets the job done. For Lord of the Pies, it’s somewhere in the middle of the pack. Not competing for the top, but not failing anyone either. Just doing its thing, feeding the neighborhood, making people feel welcome when they walk through the door, and charging very reasonable prices.
If you’re in North Kingstown and want a comfortable place with good people serving some decent pizza, NK Chicago delivers on that. In the end, that’s the best pizza delivery of all.

We both had pizza.
The pizza had a golden brown and delicious crust. The crust had a nice crunch.
The sauce was tasty.
The cheese was melted right.

Will be returning.

My fifth stop on the @rifoodfights #lordofthewings challenge. We opted for 2 home made sauces, the Habernero Heaven and the Hot Honey. Both were amazing. The hot honey had a blend of sweet and heat that made them very different than a traditional hot wing. The Habanero Heaven was a rare sauce in that was hotter than a traditional buffalo but did not sacrifice flavor. I have a high tolerance for heat but usually the hotter you get, the less flavor you get. Not with these wings. The staff was really friendly and wat ever was being made in the kitchen smelled wonderful I will be back!

What a great find! Had a craving for deep dish and took a chance on this little place. Was not disappointed! The dining room was updated and fun, and the service was welcoming and attentive. Ordered a large sausage deep dish, and it was seasoned so well! So much better than other Chicago style pies in the area. This place is a must try!

Great Chicago style deep dish, though I really only have Uno’s to compare it to and I really like Uno’s. Better than Uno’s as it’s more of an actual pizza crust instead of the cake-like Uno’s crust. It also reheats well the day after, will definitely be going again.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I ordered a pepperoni pan pizza and a pepperoni Chicago style. The pan pizza was very good with a great crust, tasty sauce and nice cheese to sauce ratio. There was absolutely no bend in the crust, just nice and solid. The Chicago style was even better. They worked some garlic in there to add an even more robust flavor. Really well done. I spent some time talking to Alex and that added to the experience. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.3.
