I came here with my girlfriend for a quick bite after running around all day since we did not have time to go home and cook. This spot is great for grab and go, with quite a few options to choose from. You can pick three items, along with rice or fried noodles, and it also comes with the soup of the day.

The restaurant feels pretty outdated and nothing really stands out. There are a few tables if you want to eat there, but most people seem to grab their food and head out.
Service –
The staff working the line is friendly for the most part. You should not expect five star service, but it is perfectly fine for what this place is.
What We Ordered –
We ended up ordering two rice dishes with eggplant, Chinese cabbage, roasted chicken, fried fish, lemon chicken, and their version of mapo tofu. The soup of the day was pork and vegetable soup. The food was good enough to satisfy our hunger, and for the price and amount of food you get, it is hard to beat.
It is also worth noting that they serve different dishes each day.
Final Thoughts –
I would come here again if we need a place with plenty of options at a price that makes sense.

This was my first time visiting this place and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN. First I let her know this was my first time and I saw her business on Instagram. Her attitude was very rude when speaking to me. Then she told me no more noodles beside the white ones which was only enough for 1 platter.You do choose 4 meats as was said in the video. Got my food sat down to eat my food was cold. Told her about it she going to say warm it up in the microwave and pointing to the back. As, she doing that the young man brought out hot fresh noodles. I said to her I thought it wasn’t no more you could have just told me to wait instead of trying to give me something I didn’t want. I don’t recommend for people who ain’t Chinese. She was very nice to her kind.

I love this place because of how bangin the food is and how cheap it is. A huge platter of food for 8 bucks is kind of insane. Plus they have so many authentic chinese dishes to choose from. Such a hidden gem, I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Imagine $7.50 for a full platter of food filled with 3-4 entrees of your choice with 2 sides. AND IT COMES WITH SOUP TOO. Jinwei is the place to go when you need to go somewhere but want to grab a quick and affordable meal and it’s tasty too! Its cash only which is basically the only down side but I would definitely come here often to try out all their other selections!

Yes!! Reminds me of my childhood. So many different options, including dishes I’ve never tried before! Awesomely authentic. 4 dishes plus a soup for $8 (real broth, not the fake yellow wonton soup you get everywhere else)! I’m so happy I found this through Google Maps. If you are looking for an authentic replication of the China cafeteria experience in Philly (good food, a lot of choices, for cheap, as seen on YouTube), this place is it.
A lot of the negative reviews here seem to misunderstand the place and the China cafeteria experience. This place is all about no frills and maximal value. The staff here are friendly, but they are busy and are not here to baby sit you. Their food is NOT the Americanized “Chinese” food from places like Panda Express. If you think the food here is bad, it’s because you don’t know real Chinese food.

Very affordable price. Although staff speaks limited English, pointing at the food on wants is plenty good enough. Tastes great as well and was plenty warm at that. Quickly get in and get out, don’t be a brick and get extra, this ain’t no gourmet, it’s for the workers and those who need calories fast and frugally. They want you to be full, and the portions can speak for that.
