The best restaurant in the downtown area. Fast service. Food is always amazing and authentic. For $9.99 you get a soup or salad and an entree. I highly recommend it if you want to eat a great lunch.i always order Drunken Noodles. It’s always hot, delicious, and spicy. If you love THAI food and work in downtown, I highly recommend this establishment. The employees and owners are very nice and treat me like family.

Food is top notch and authentic.
Lunch specials are roughly $10-12 and enough to fill the average person.
Place was packed but service still seemed a bit slower than it had to be.

I liked the dessert better than other items I ordered.

For a Thai food lover it was a pleasant surprise to find this gem of a place very close to where I live. The menu is great, staff is friendly and happily customizes the dishes as per the need. Their level of spice moderation is perfect, the ingredients are fresh and dishes are cooked to perfection. Definitely a must visit for any Thai food lover or someone who wants to try Thai cuisine.

This location in Hartford closed in late 2019. Their location in Glastonbury now has most of the staff (and same food), to which my original review applies:
Excellent food and a friendly staff. My favorite dishes are the Yellow or Red Curry, which can be made to order. Just let them know how spicy you want it, and what vegetables or meat you want, and they’ll make it. This is excellent if you have diet restrictions (gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, allergies, etc.) I also like the Pad Thai a lot because it’s a little less sweet than other places, and all of the appetizers are excellent.

I have ate at Siam Hartford a couple of times – both visits were cozy and accompanied by amazing food. At our servers recommendation we had the Drunken Noodle, Cashew Nut, Sautéed Broccoli, Thai Dumpling and Crispy Shrimp Roll. If you are looking for attentive service and tasty authentic Thai food this place has it!

When it’s good, it’s great. I love how many veggies are in most dishes. But the food is very inconsistent (we order here a lot out of convenience) — the same dishes that are perfect one night will be too spicy or not spicy enough the next, or too greasy, etc.

Got the mango curry because it had 3 stars on the menu, I assumed that meant it was spicy. We were never asked about spice level etc. It was the most tasteless Thai food I’ve ever had. Not only did it have no kick, it had barely any flavor. I had to add salt, pepper, and garlic at home. Crab rangoon was good though!

Good food. Had a gnat land in my food when the server put it down (it died in the spicy basil sauce). Quickly removed the green pepper with its body on it…30-second rule? They didn’t use Thai basil. Felt like our server was the only one working…cooking, tending bar, serving food, clearing tables. Bathroom could be a little cleaner.

Consistency is the name of the game. It’s not important to serve exquisite food everyday, its more important to serve perfectly edible and delectable food every time someone walks into your restaurant.
The Glastonbury branch is great too, specially for the fresh rolled rice noodles.
Being a vegetarian, glad to have a lot of options. Tom Kha is great. Drunken noodles are awesome too. If you like it hot, ask for it, and you’ll get it.
For the sweet toothed’s, the mango sticky rice is awesome, when the mango season is right. And take their advice on it.
