This is a great small town mom and pop place with awesome food. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy and is some of the best you will find. Great desserts are readily available.

Driving thru a riverside area of IL, around 9p.m. one night, we found this cute historic area. The bar on the corner was quaint and friendly.

Made for a good rest stop and visiting time, but no food is served in there after 8 p.m…so we mosey’d on out, walked down the street reading all the historic plaquards, then headed on out of town, looking for food.

Seems like a nice place for a day trip; for lunch, drinks and a stroll down memory lane.

Little small town restaurant and bar. Usually pretty busy. It’s neat. Would recommend visiting and most of their food is good.

*** VERY SMALL PORTIONS ***
*** VERY HIGH PRICES ***
*** BARE MINIMUM SERIVCE ***

I ordered the Rueben Sandwich and applesauce side. My meal took 45 minutes to deliver. There was only one other table, with about 6 people seated and myself in the restaurant. 3pm in the afternoon. So it wasn’t crowded lunchtime.

As noted in earlier Google Reviews, the Rueben was thinly sliced and on a very small slice of toast. Extremely small sandwich. The applesauce came in a kid-sized cup. All this for $14.95.

OUTRAGOUSLY PRICED FOR SERVING SIZES!

I was not given a reason for the long delay of my order either. I asked for water when ordering. Was never asked for a refill.

Won’t return. Not worth it. Had this experience before at this restaurant.

My total tab, counting tip and taxes, over $18. The plate was worth $7 at best.

P.s. They are the only restaurant in town. So plan on driving further if you want a decent meal for a fair price!

We were out in the Jeep and stopped here for lunch. Such a cute place! It was busy with all the jeeps but the food was good, our order was right and the staff was fun and friendly! Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.
